When they landed in stonehenge it felt very classic series because the backround was like every feckin backround the TARDIS landed on in Earth in the classic!!

That's what I thought to, then thought 'haven't they already done that (counting in head) half a dozen times or something?'. I kind of lost track of how many times the Daleks have been 'brought back' and just how many things appear to be crammed full of Daleks. I imagine that my shoes probably have a couple of Daleks in them, they just get caught in the treads.

For the record, they've 'come back' a total of four times in the new series(not including this one), those being:

What about the series 1 episode "Dalek"?

Well, that was their debut in the revived series wasn't it? It was also probably the only come back of the Daleks that people actually wanted.

But were the Daleks locked for centuries inside of an acient kebab before turning up in that episode?

And if we are taking predictions on the next episode, I reckon The Doctor's daughter is going to finally come back and lesbian all over Amy in a part-Time Lord necrophiliac kind of way. Then Timothy Dalton will show up for a few minutes before leaving without having done anything in particular, possibly delivering some random object (a bag of flour maybe) that will be infested with more Daleks that are slightly different to the others. Then The Doctor will make the Pandorica explode by filling it up with custard and fish fingers than he had stashed in his massive chin and the equilibrium is restored.

It's a well known writer's cop out. You can't just claim that something that breaks continuity, established laws of travel, whatever writing fumble you made, is due to a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.

I can use the term "Wibbly Wobbly, Timey Wimey" because it is a quote. If I made that up on the spot, then I would agree with you

I'm not saying you can't use the term, I'm just saying that the term is becoming the new Doctor Who version of the wizard.

Whatever way you cut it, whenever you have to save anything with the explanation 'don't think too hard about it' we've reached the realm of Austin Powers and MST3K.

No it's mostly used when the Doctor talked about time travel stuff... which we don't understand in the real world yet so they don't write in some stupid bob explanation they think of -> they say that instead.

Just thought of something. It's a bit convoluted and incredibly geeky, but stick with me.

It's been suggested that the Doctor stole the TARDIS from Gallifrey rather than getting it by any "official" means, so it's possible that it was another Timelord's before his. And due to the infinate size inside the TARDIS it's possible that there are areas he's never even been or aware of. In these areas could be a secret Big Bad who the Doctor was unaware of, which may have been biding his/her/it's time until he/she/it could make "silence fall" and orchestrated the whole alliance.

Perhaps it's just someone getting pissed off that he keeps leaving the brakes on? Would explain the dudes love of silence.

I personally wondered if that other shitty knock off TARDIS would play any part later on, I'm guessing not but I figured if the Tardis was gonna go boom they have already shown their is an alternative.
