And I'm still betting the Voice of Silence was Omega, they must be teasing that as an over arching plot into the next season.
Once and for all...NO. Go watch The Eleventh Hour again. Prisoner Zero says, very explicitly: "The Pandorica will open. Silence will fall."
So what if he said it? A bunch of people have said it over the course of the season, I don't see your point.

Finally a series finale that was epic and didn't have some sort of ridiculous army appear and then get wiped out ala RTD's reign.

Moffat has performed an incredible service for Doctor Who. Long live Matt Smith, Amy Pond and Rory Williams! The greatest and least irritating Tardis crew for a very long time!

I can't praise the last two episodes enough. Fantastic stuff!

Also, wonder where Moffat is going with the whole "silence" thing? New series Dr Who doesn't normally carry a series' story arc over into another. Also looks like River is going to be showing her true colours soon. She must have done something terrible to make a Dalek beg for mercy.

Also an Egyptian queen on the Orient Express in space? I think Christmas is going to be heaven!
I assumed that was just a future noodle incident; I don't think they'll actually make it. I thought it was just a "And now everyone goes on an adventure!" kinda schtick.

It's not like Moffat (or Dr Who in general) to add any sort of detail like that and not use it. Besides, the end of Series 2, the Doctor came across Donna which lead us into the Christmas special "The runaway Bride" and at the end of series 3 the Doctor had the Titanic burst through the Tardis which lead us into the Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned" and at the end of series 4 the Doctor... oh yeah, they didn't bother with that series.

But perhaps you can see where I'm going with this? I recon there's a good chance we'll be seeing that in this year's Christmas special.

I think Matt's doing a wonderful job. It really helps with the loss of David. I agree that the season went too quickly. I wish the Brits could do things a little more like us in the US and give us 18-24 episodes per season (but not if the quality dips). It's been really fantastic.

Now, where's that new season of Torchwood?

It's because we don't usually have the money to afford series that continue for longer than 12-13 weeks. Plus that is the UK industry standard.

I don't know...it doesn't have that cliffhanger ring to me. Besides, I think Donna coming back probably wasn't planned two years in advance, I thought she was just an ascended guest star.

Congrats on the 5000!
On the episode...
well, it felt sloppy. Actually almost all the new stories feel a little sloppy (minus the 2 with the weeping angels).

I guess my biggest thing with the episode is that it felt rather anticlimactic.
