I liked it - tied up so many loose ends. And they didn't forget about the Sun

Also, the bit where Amy had to keep her eyes shut for all the Angels and he tells her to remember what he told her when she was seven. WOW.

Long foreshadowing much?
Is shows you that they wrote the whole season around the finale, which is why I liked it so much. They had to shoot that scene when that set was built. I liked the fact that they filled the little anomalies in action that were eating at me. My favourite part though was when he travelled back with the mop.

I agree with you there, BUT may I point out one of the most ridiculous puns I've ever heard:-

"Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue"

The whole series was gearing towards that
Oh come on! That was just epic, I laughed so hard when she said that! Damn, I even said the last few lines with her, oh the shame!

I have to admit certain parts could have been done better. I mean this series hasn't exactly had the strongest stories or perhaps the best writing but the good parts far outweigh the bad and I have come away from the whole series with an overal good feeling. I have been glued to my screen, I have laughed and I have come pretty close to getting all emotional, which doesn't happen often. I think that's what counts.

However past stories such as Love & Monsters and the Unicorn and the Wasp, have the power to ruin everything. What were they thinking with those? Luckily Series 5 didn't have any of those awful atrocities.

I agree, I love it when all the loose ends come together and it's shown that the whole thing was so well thought through. I love Moffat's take on time travel too, it's definately the way I want to see it done. The Tardis always felt like some kind of giant plot device simply to generate a reason for the Doctor to be in another time/place. Moffat actually uses it for what it is: a time machine.

However I feel the mop scene, however amusing it was at the time, kind of felt like it was added for the sake of it.

"What's the funniest way for the doctor to appear? Wearing a fez and holding a mop!"

But later on it really is by chance that he picked the mop up and it all just felt a little weak. I did like the ways he managed to get young Amy to the museum though, especially when he stole her own drink from the past to give back to her in the future, now that was pointless but absolutely great!

Yeah tis cool when they plan that far ahead. And yes the mop was awesome. Pointless bit of fun, which added to it =]

The mop wasn't pointless, I thought he used it to prop a door shut. Tell me I wasn't seeing things... I'm gonna have to watch it again.

Calling him a bad doctor makes you the douche bub, not me. I'm sure you think Tennant and Ecc were bad as well.

Well yeah but I doubt that'd help in stopping a Dalek get through.

Well the Dalek wasn't up to full strength, granted......meh :)

I liked the ending and the season overall. It lacked a episode like Blink or Girl in the Fireplace but it didn't have episodes like Fear Her either. So it was good. Also I think it's the most fun one of the 5 seasons so far.

P.S: The Dalek was cool in this episode.

Massive dissapointment.

Explained nothing about why the Tardis exploded in the first place, now I have to wait another year to find out? And Amy didn't die so we're still stuck with the worst companion so far.

Brilliant.
You can't just explain something like that in one episode! I for one am glad it is going to follow on!

And I like Karan Gillian IMHO
I honestly cannot stand her.

Her voice is grating, and she only generally comes off as eye candy. It's also pretty hard to care for her at all. Mind you, I do like Rory.
While Amy is annoying at times, I'm willing to overlook it because if theres no Amy, theres no Rory Awesomeness! Is it too early to name Rory the best companion since the revival?
Fukin captain Jack up in this *****.

I really like Amy, honestly the best companion since the series restarted. Rory though... he does nothing. Honestly, other than in the two finale episodes, tell me one thing he does that couldn't have been done by a bit part or by the Doctor/Amy?

I agree with uncle-ellis though, we need Captain Jack back, and then this series would be fucking perfect.

And I'm still betting the Voice of Silence was Omega, they must be teasing that as an over arching plot into the next season.
Once and for all...NO. Go watch The Eleventh Hour again. Prisoner Zero says, very explicitly: "The Pandorica will open. Silence will fall."

I enjoyed it, although I didn't like the time paradox that got the Doctor out of the Pandorica.
Yes that irked me as well. I can only assume it was an act of some higher being that got the Doctor out in the first place to be able to make the time loop that we saw getting him out.

Plus...there was no Tom Baker.
Why does nothing please you?

Best lines from the episode: "Trust the plastic", "How did we forget the Doctor?" and "Mr. Rory Pond!" "Th-that's not how that works." ... "That's how it works." "Yeah that's how it works."

I loved this episode.
One of the things which I really liked about it was the Dalek; it wasn't an annoying army of daleks, it was just one and a weak one, which is what made it so much better. Also the soundtrack was brilliant and the bit where the doctor is going back through his timeline was kinda moving.
At least there wasn't another army of Daleks or cybermen.
Next series, I would like to see the "reapers" or whatever they're called again.

EDIT: what was the best episode of the series? My favourite was "amy's choice"

They spent the entire last episode building up to the doctor being put in the Pandorica, then had him released in the first 5 minutes. Then at the end they killed him off, and 5 minutes later brought him back with no penalties whatsover. Anticlimactic, in my opinion.
