To combat that amazing Doctor Who knowledge, I confront you with this:

I sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" with Christopher Eccleston and had a pun contest with Russell T. Davies.

No, I was simply making a joke. I am perfectly aware that the TARDIS doesn't have an airlock, as I am aware that it has two control rooms (though they had to stop using the second one because the wood panels got wet and warped whilst they were in storage), a cloister bell, a swimming pool, and a Zero room that was jettisoned in order to give the TARDIS enough thrust to escape Event One, also known as the Big Bang.
thanx for reminding me about the zero room and Peter Davidson, now i'm all upset about him ruining the big red scarf :|

Originally, the scarf would have been regular length but the maker misunderstood and thought all the balls of wool had to be used.

Hey, not to derail the thread because I do love Dr.Who (been watching since I was a kid,) but I LOVE Blake's 7...do any of you BBC-ians know if there's any truth to the rumors about a B7 revival?

Dear lord, we can but hope. Absolutely adored that show...haven't seen it in years, though. I wonder if it ages well.

Ah, all praise Avon! The one thing I love more than Who.

And the answer to your first question is affirmative. Ahead Standard by Twelve.

I'm finished. Staying with you requires a degree of stupidity of which I no longer feel capable.

And you may not have heard about Christopher Ecclestone (Ninth Doctor) Playing Number 6....(ITV)

Or about the new series of Being Human (Vampire/Werewolf/Ghost Sit-dramcom) on BBC 3 in January.

Is anyone else trying to remember the "Mister Cooper Foundation", the company that made the Sub-Wave network? I'm pretty sure that's going to crop up later.
Mister Copper was the tour guide from Voyage of the Damned. He ended up being rather wealthy at the end if you recall. And.. you know, having access to alient technology.

An aside - am I the only one who wasn't at least a little annoyed that all this Bad Wolf rigamarole didn't turn out to be in some way related to Fenric? I mean c'mon.. talk about a perfect setup.

Ah well.. we havn't seen the full reveal yet. There's still some hope left.

Tennant is staying on, which I'm happy about 'cos I think he's brilliant.
It'll be interesting how they explain it though, I reckon it's gotta be something about his hand.
No 09 series either, just a few specials.
Same with Torchwood as far as I know, they're doing a 5 episode over 5 day running which'll be interesting.

Xhumed, I personally loved the new series, with the exception of Catherine Tate.
Still awesome though.

In referance to whats been discussed above.

I can't quite remember how, but the master has managed to regenrate past his alotted regenerations.

Blake 7 is due to be remade by an outside production company for BSkyB (sky one)

*slight spoiler warning*
I was pretty shocked when I saw the Doctor starting to regenerate, so as sad as it sounds (and knowing how long tennant is contracted) I went back and looked at the first regeneration, and almost instantly atfter it started the Doctors shadows started changing inside the gold light, where as in saturdays episode it didn't.

Just my observations

Well i'm willing to give it ago. A friend in the UK who also isn't a big fan of her says its a good season, better than last season.

me too, i don't like her, tho her and David Tennant have a great chemistry together. there's a bit with them on youtube doing some british charity thing, it's pretty funny

i never thought of the hand thing and it does seem plausible, i think the "they are out of sync by 1 second" thing will be in play as well too

Once he was on his 13th he used some ability or some such to take over the body of someone.....

in The Deadly Assassin (1976), the Master (played by Peter Pratt under heavy make-up) appears as an emaciated, decaying wreck, at the end of his thirteenth and final life. Given the severity of his situation, this Master is much darker than Delgado's version. Here, the evil Time Lord almost succeeds in his plan to restore himself to full life with the symbols of the office of President of the Council of Time Lords, the artifacts of Rassilon. The Doctor stops him because the process would have caused the destruction of Gallifrey. After this story, the Master again departs the series, returning in 1981. In The Keeper of Traken, the Master (Geoffrey Beevers under different heavy make-up but playing the same incarnation as Pratt[5]) succeeds in renewing himself by taking over the body of the Trakenite scientist named Tremas (an anagram of "Master"), overwriting Tremas's mind in the process. Now played by Anthony Ainley, the Master appeared on and off for the rest of the series, still seeking to extend his life ? preferably with a new set of regenerations. Subsequently in The Five Doctors, the Time Lords offer the Master a new regeneration cycle in exchange for his help.

A B7 remake would be cool, if only because this time the alien worlds wouldn't all be quarries....

sorry, drifted off for a second there.
On a side note, anyone else remember Space Precinct, the Gerry Anderson live action show?

I'm fairly certain that Tennant is staying on, but it seems that I'm the only one to be slightly dissapointed by this. Maybe I'm just a bit bored of the 10th doctor.

If you're totally new, start with the new series (2004 onwards, has Eccleston in it) and work from there. Any strange references that crop up which you may think are interesting? Use the Doctor Who wiki (tardis.wikia?) and look it up. Best way to learn.
