Why does everyone assume their mortal enemies won't attack them if they are talking, or jusr standing about? Why does no-one ever attack their mortals enemies if they are talking, or jusr standing about?

She wasn't falling out of a window for two days straight. The Doctor went back and saved her. He has a time machine, remember?

If all of history were happening at the same time, where the hell was the Big Bang?
Heck, where was the holocaust, the bombing of Hiroshima, all of the wars?
WHERE IS IT ALL?

Pretty much what he said. I haven't seen Day of the Moon and I pretty much assumed The Silence were able to dress themselves.

I politely recommend you look up the term "plot hole".

The Tardis was translating! Temporal flux! And also Bad Wolf and The Silence did an awful lot behind the scenes!

Really though, the show does tend to fall into plot holes here and there. You just kind of have to go with it. Take a drink every time Matt Smith twirls around, every time someone asks The Question, and the first person to guess the plot twist designates two drinks for the rest of the group.

How much of the world did you actually see? You saw London done out like a roman city with dinosaurs, whose to say France isnt fighting Angela Merkels Nazi's, Poland isnt under the domain of a Genghis Kahn led CCCP and Hiroshima and Nagasaki arent wondering why the suns come up twice? There could well be a big bang going on at the center of that universe but the speed of light is slow, hell the sun could go nova and it'd take us 8 mins to realise.

The show is basically built on plot holes. And if by "plot holes" you mean "things that straight up don't make sense" then we could be at this all day.

The plot holes that spring to mind are: Why did Rose have to go back to the other universe at the end of "Journey's End?" Basically the entire plot of "The End of Time," and everything involving River Song.

What long running series DOESN'T have a few plot holes here and there?

EDIT: Assuming that "plot holes" are the same thing as "plot oversights."

who the fuck taught you that.
the speed of light is the fastest known thing in the universe. it takes 8 minutes because its A FUCKING MASSIVE DISTANCE. it takes 1000 years to get from the center of the sun.
and if the universe ended, how come all of the River Song canon happened again. the doctor would have to redo it, but it would be in Matt Smiths form.

Those aren't plot holes though, that's just lazy writing. Oh, and the twirling was a David Tennant thing too.

Probably none. That wasn't intended as an insult towards the show, I love it. Sometimes all the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey leads to plot holes, or oversights if you prefer, but obsessing about them is kind of taking yourself out of the fun.

1. She was falling for a few seconds. When Canton tells the Doctor about it, he goes back in time to catch her.
2. Two answers here: first is that the suits don't really look like clothing. It's almost like it'a part of their body. Second is that... well, they are intelligent beings. Odds are they could dress themselves you know.

Thats more or less my point. In terms of travelling through a galaxy, light is slow relative to, say, a fictional FTL-with-magical-technojargon spaceship. So the big bang could be happening but it wouldn't reach Earth for a really really long time.

I don't understand what your asking, just in that episode or what?

I Dont think people understand, I mean can you really picture the silence with a wardrobe of suits getting ready for the day?

I think maybe that's actually their skin. Look at it. It looks all gross and organic.
