Interesting episode, but I hoped it would be more horror than a war between species. I didn't like the elastic punch/extendy neck thing, I thought it kinda ruined the pretense of the gangers being close to human.
Although. I did like the use of Rory and a double Doctor is interesting.... if obvious and expected!

EXCELLENT!

good points raised about what it is to be human. Is the agressive human leader woman truly more human than the copy that is happy to exist?

Not too happy on the elastic punch though, seemed a tad out of place.

My god you act fast, it finished l;ike 2 seconds ago xD But I agree that it was quite good. Double DOctor will make for something interesting and I almost died laughing when he said "Ee by by gum" Eyepatch lady is back again. I desperately want to know whats going on with her.

Anyone else think that maybe this is the origin of the Nestene Consciousness.

The Flesh. Seriously? You just don't name revolutionary new discoveries in such an ominous way. To be honest, you're just asking for an interspecies war.

Thought it wasn't a bad episode, but I agree with OP. Had been hoping for something more horror-based.

Nah. The Nestine are plastic and still have to be controlled. Although the actual Nestine Consciousness could be the flesh I suppose.

That was an entire episode about the uncanny valley. AND I LOVED IT! Also, once again, Rory proves his badassitude! Tackling the electrical gun woman without a moments hesitation.

Also, twisty neck made me recoil from the TV. "shudder"

At least they didn't fake kill off Rory again.
It was a pretty good episode, I liked how they made Jennifer the violent ringleader at the end while the original leader was reluctant to go to war. It was a nice switch to show two sides of the same personality.
Moffat's really piling on the cliff-hangers though, it can be a bit too much, especially so early in the season.

Yeah, elastic punch was stupid and Eyepatch Lady has ceased to intrigue me and now only annoys me. There better be a damn good payoff because she's really just becoming an expected irritant. "Oh, what wall is Eyepatch Lady going to be photoshopped onto this week?"

Double Doctor should provide for some entertainment and I like where they're going with the "What is and isn't human" theme. Oh well. It was a disappointing start to a two parter, I feel.

Although I really am enjoying the increased focus on Rory, he really seemed to take the whole Flesh thing to heart and I appreciate his large involvement.

I have to say I didn't enjoy it as much as I normally did. There were no particularly memorable moments.

Was a good episode, can't wait for the two doctors next week...

I'm not a big fan of two parters... don't want to have to wait a week!

(On an unrelated note this red button thing is gonna give me nightmares)

That was actually a rather good episode.

I expected it to be scarier - mainly caused by the gangers' being actually quite mentally sound - but it was worth it just to see a baddie with a motive beyond "just plain evil".

That said, I kind of thought the reaction from the gangers a little off when they all decide to go to war. It seemed pretty clear that the Boss Lady (can't remember her name :S) was the real problem. It just kind of felt like one of those illogical "misunderstandings" that are simply created to be solved in the climatic scene.

Still a cracking episode, looking forward to next week.

I would have enjoyed it more if I could have actually been able to see what was going on. Seriously, this episode seemed really, really dark to me (as in "Hey, who turned out the lights" and not "Wow, that was grim").

The conflict seemed a little forced to me. If I met somebody who was essentially my clone, I'm sure we'd be great friends.

Ok, I'm just going to vent my spleen about something so I'm giving fair warning.

Will people just STOP complaining about cliff hangers?!?!? A single story used to take at least two, sometimes three or four episodes. It's only because we've been conditioned to want short stories that can be given to us in a moment, thus being short on, well for want of a better word, story. I'm sorry but really annoys me, you can't have a full story with the depth that we expect from Doctor Who in 45 minutes. And don't get me started on how it was many of the same people who complained that "Curse of the Black Spot" was too short...

Aynho, I quite enjoyed that episode. What is it to be human? Is it the aggressive factory boss who thinks that anything that doesn't fit into her view of how things should be is a threat? Is it the girl running around scared and confused? Is it the same girl (and yet not the same) trying to come to terms with the fact that all her memories were lived by someone else, who was her and yet not her? Is it the man who goes off, despite his fear, to help someone he doesn't know? And next week! What is it to be a Time Lord?
