Haha nope, when my units die I just add some more to the spawn queue.

On Age of Empires I'd usually end up killing my own units anyway with the delete key. I just thought it was funny when I was younger. Is that weird?

I haven't played it, so I can't speak for emotional attachment in that

But in Advanced Wars, I only feel bad in the sense that I could've made a better tactical decision

No because I use swarm tactics...mwhahahahaha
ZERG RUSH KEKEKE!! But no, seriously, I normally feel no connection, I just get annoyed when they die because it means more minerals. I will admit to being sad when my workers die in Starcraft. The Protoss Probes are just kind of cute.
Not a zerg rush...

about 100 low level ground troops in SupCom
Same thing. And it isn't a rush if you don't shout KEKEKE. Then it's jsut a mob. And it never works.
I just type... DOMINATION IS IMMINENT YOU IMPUDENT FOOLS!!!
Then my czar starts writing my glorious name into your base.
You know waht beats a minion mass? A carrier battalion. 72 carriers with 8 interceptors each. It's litterally a cloud of death. They fly over a group, the thing beneath them disappears, the cloud disperses, and the enemy is just plain GONE.
Just six carries do that. 72 is overkill.

EDIT: On my dxdiag on the in display page it says approximate memory 96mb.. Is that my video chips memory?

That would be the point, yes. It will cause people to litteraly start crying. Seriously, the guy had voice chat on, saw them coming, and started to cry. It was awesome.

24-36 valkeries with upgraded weapons might have stoped them. Or atleast took out their interceptors while 12 goliaths work on taking out the carriers. :p

I like perfect health/armor on everyone. In a RTS, if a few troops are less than 100% of both I send them off to die. But i feel kind of bad sending them to their doom so yes, I guess I do feel bad when (my) troops die in RTS games.

I hate my little Pikmin die and utter their cries of death, it makes me so sad. That's why I use Olimar to punch things to death, providing that half the day it's not wasted and I don't die.

I only care if you are not an impartial overseer, so in an FPS I don't want squadmates to die.

I only really get attached to them if you can keep track of there stats and kills and what not. If you can keep track each unit feels unique and it is physically painful to see one die. In one RTS (And I can't remember it for the life of me) you could even name each squad which then kept their stats throughout the single-player campaign. I got worse and worse as the campaign went on because I didn't want to send my super elite bad ass units to attack, for fear of losing them.

But if they don't have names or stats or anything I honestly don't care.

Only in company of heroes...You feel oddly attached to your men in that game...maybe it's the way they cower with fear when they are shot at...

Worst moment ever was well playing CoH OF, as the British I had a vet 3 captain and two section taking cover between two buildings in an alley which was considered green cover (the best cover), they were under a sort of balcony bridge thing. Then a nebelwurfer rocket battery came down. First incendiary rocket smashes the balcony above them, burying them in rubble and losing the cover advantage, they became pinned and every man burnt alive, trying to crawl out. Almost cried for the inhumanity of it.

I don't like losing men, but I accept losses when I achieve something, like the first group on a wall in a Total war game I know is gonna lose at least 50%. Its when a blunder of mine wipes out a huge number I feel the worse, rather then something out of my control.

"Men are not potatoes, sir."
