The PS2 is an old console? I play that more than my Xbox360. Then again I play my Sega Genesis more than that. I never found any games I like on it or if I did I got them for my computer, my 360 is solely used for Guitar Hero/Rock Band.

Who needs good graphics when you have imagination?

I sold my PS2 but I still play my SNES on occasion. I also have a NES and Gamecube that rarely see any action. The NES is in a box with that which should not be named (N64).

Mostly though it's the 360.

Recentley i bought a shed load of PS2 games. Since then i havent even touched my xbox 360 and i truly believe that the game quality was much better when develepors were not worrying about online and DLC. Games like KH2 and FFX have kept me going for days on end, whereas there are only a select few games on the xbox that even come close to over a 10hour period(games like Fallout and Oblivion are the longest ive played, most tend to have great gameplay that last for around 7hours).

So i ask does anyone else still play their old consoles? and do you think the quality of
gameplay was better or worse?
well would you really consider the ps2 as an "old " console? however i do agree with developers having the tendency to stick "gears of fucking massive shooter" onto every game they produce. Im guessing your the type to have loved prototoye for the first few days then had no love for it soon after , yet if that was on ps2 and you had gotten that for christmas diferrent story entirely?

I just found my Super Scope the other day, AND IT STILL WORKS!!!

Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge.

I was playing Kirby 64 a few days ago.

I actually don't use my Wii or 360 anymore...

I've got every system on from NES to PS3 except Sega Saturn. I still play them all. Heck, they're all hooked up right now. Time to go play some Low-G Man and Ninja Gaiden 2...

By old i mean not ps3 or xbox. i used it generally because its in the stage of being left behind. as a bunch of hardcore gamers i understand most people on this website would go back, but a lot of people refer to it as old. As for the Prototype thing. I loved that game, it was everything the xbox 360 needed i think. i did almost every side mission and got all the web of knowledge. i still go back to play it sometimes

Hmmm if PS2 is considered 'old' then yeah I play it alot, but also N64 definately, many of nights are dedicated to mariokart 64 and Goldeneye, then whenever i feel like supermario or batletoads I still play my NES a good amount.

I got 3 Megadrive games for christmas (Flashback, Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion)
I also started playing Fifa 95 today, aside from the fiddly controls it's still playable.

I also have 3 stacks of NES, SNES and Megadrive games on a shelf.

I play my PS2 the same amount if not more than my 360 and I pretty much agree with Jamienra that the games were better then.

for me it was very hyped for what it was and the town itself looked like it was an ALDI version of NYC for me however in terms of ps2 gameplay you always seem to have more "fun" with that console. For example DMC3 i loved DMC4 not so much.

Oh, Science No, I've got a few PS1 classics on my PS3, and they're not as good as I remember them, I played a bit of TA the other day, like 1 skirmish, then moved back to recent stuff, there's just more to the recent releases.

PS2: Yes, because I haven't had my PS3 for more than a few months and therefore switch back and forth now and again.

Gameboy Advance SP: It's still a fun console to me, and it's the only one I have that can play Pokemon Blue.

PS1: Once in a while, I bust out Tekken 3, Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Yu-Gi-Oh: Forbidden Memories to change things up a little.

So, yes, I do sill play my old consoles from time to time.

I still play my ps2 a lot, recently just went through the ratchet and clank series again. Also the original x-box. Eff the 360 with the whole YOU MUST GET A BIGGER HARD DRIVE! I remember having like 50 games with like 10 saves each and like 20 cd's burned to it and my original x-box still was like only 5% full. Also have been playing Obscure and recently bought True Crime Streets of L.A., hell for $3 why not.as for Gamecube i got 1 word for ya, Zelda. Beaten the 4 swords game, working on windwaker now with my girlfriend. For some reason it's like the only game she will play and enjoy that isn't Sims.... I havn't touched my ps3 since I've beaten resistance 1 and burnout paradise. N64, I've been playing Mario Party 3 a lot but still bust out the perfect dark and Donkey Kong, lol.
