I know that feeling well...it is something I experience quite a bit. I find that going on a nice, long walk gets my mind back in a non-apathetic state. That or just taking a day to relax and wander the town a bit.

But seriously, apathy can be a *****. Give it a few weeks, maybe take some time off, and it'll usually sort itself out. That's at least how it goes for me.

Don't worry about it. It sounds like this is your first time waking up depressed. It's a part of growing up. You probably just came to the shocking realization that you aren't going to fulfill all your dreams or that life isn't the candy coated treat you thought it would be. If you continue to feel this way, I recommend you see a psychiatric specialist immediately before you do something you might regret.

Dude I have been feeling this way on and off for nigh on three years. It could have something to do with me getting a chronic digestive disease midway through college, but I dont really believe that. Its just something that happens. All you can really do is find something you enjoy doing, and make a career out of it.

Seriously though, you'd have better luck at a place like 4chan.

I have a method of curing depression but its probably not for most people, you just wait until next time someone starts on you and attack them. Seriously there's nothing like a proper fight to make you feel alive and kicking again. Or you could just wait for it to pass its all good

You're obviously depressed.
You need to mix things up a bit.
A vacation is a good idea, if you can't afford that take a day off and do the things you most like to do. But even that will just make you feel better right now.
Try to get a healthy perspective on your feelings: did you ever see/read Fight Club. That might help you put it in perspective.
Then you should start studying martial arts. It's like a controlled fight club, if you go to the right school/dojo. Either way, getting your blood pumping, getting the stuffing knocked out of you, and knocking the stuffing out of someone else will not only help you gain perspective but also you body will be active and healthier (even if you're awful) therefore making everything less susceptible to depression.

If none of that works: medication, though I prefer self medication of the ... I don't want to openly encourage anything illegal so visit Amsterdam and figure it out.

Do you drink? If so you may want to lay off the drink for a few days and see how you feel.
