I was sitting in school earlier and overheard a debate between a guy and a girl, the girl was asking the guy why he watched pornography, and he explained this to her, but then she raised the view that is takes advantage of "young" "innocent" women.

I wish to know the escapists view on the topic because i know them and they will start again tomorrow, and i would love to have some input from outside the small world of teenagers!!

so please state your opinion on whether you think it is taking advantage or not and why?

i would have thought so, but this girl seems to think they have been taken advantage of, with 'visions of fame and stardom'

I don't think it's taking advantage so long as it's a choice and she isn't forced into something either by force or trickery.

Women are sane thinking induvidials just like men, pornstars have the choice to say no. They're at least 18 which makes them legal adults, so they're responsible for their own actions. same goes for the men (most porn has both men and women)

Pretty much this. They get paid better then most jobs, for having sex with porn star men, who probably know something about how to please a woman.

Porn stars are prostitutes with good agents...

Nobody is forcing the women to be in the porno. And they aren't doing it for free.
I think this pretty well ends the argument. And if they don't enjoy it, they can stop.

course not, i mean, hell they had a choice to be in the porno

i find it funny when girls defend it by saying all porn actors are tricked, because they're insulting themselves

Pornography does not exploit women. It exploits sex in general.

There is male pornography to.

Some pornstars are very famous, and very rich. So no i don't think it takes advantage of them. They know why they are there, to get fucked on camera for money. Most people that say it takes advantage of women (in my experience) either have really never watched it or or ugly ass bitches who are jealous.

Girls gone wild pisses me off so much. The advertisements for it are so fucking long and annoying.

Still, they sign a legal contract before being in the video, so while it is exploitation it is legal.

They have the choice to do so, so the argument that it takes advantage of them is inalid. It's like saying that models objectifies women (an argument against America common in revolutionary Iran, come to think of it).

Say that to multi-millionaire fashion mogul Tyra Banks, why don't you?
