Exploiting women? Depends what porn you watch... check out Donkey Punch Vol 1: Slapping, punching, choking, spitting, extreme verbal humiliation... I'd call that extremely degrading and exploitive, but I'd also call it sexy, pay $20 for a copy on DVD and await the next volume.

Why? Even in that extreme scenario (and yes it is a real video), the DVD kinda pauses at several moments and has before and after interviews with the women they "abuse". They're laughing, smiling, joking around... it *is* a performance after all, one they are being paid for and one that they actually have a large amount of control over. At any given time, if something gets to be too much they can put the brakes on a scene or end it if they so choose... and yeah, it has happened before.

Personally, I believe watching porn is like watching any other type of video or movie: You should watch what appeals to you, and for me, I require circus acts or "extreme" videos because they're so much different from the rest of the "oh look at me I invented doggy style I'm such a sex queen" crap that floods the rest of the biz.

Also stuff that happens in public is great too (I'm a fan of this in real life as well).

some directors like kahn Tusion do abuse the girls. and the girls gone wiled videos, where girls are shitfaced drunk. unable to make a clear headed decision. is uncool
Girls gone wild pisses me off so much. The advertisements for it are so fucking long and annoying.

Still, they sign a legal contract before being in the video, so while it is exploitation it is legal.
if they are drunk when they signed it, it is not legal.

You sure about that? There might be some law I'm not aware of, but to my knowledge as long as you did not intoxicate the individual it is legal.

In what sense? You mean the exploitation of young women as sex objects? Or as in they have no choice in the matter? To answer both of those i say: yes and No.
i mainly meant in the sense of sex objects, but also in that they have no choice in some cases

If they are in it by their choice, then no, they should know what they are getting into. If they are forced or blackmailed into it, or someone gets them drunk and then puts them in it, then yes it is taking advantage of them.

Some does, but its really not as much a matter of taking advantage of the individual as being subjegating, objectifying, and degrading to women in general.

im sure, if a person is intoxicated, they are unable to make coherent decisions, nullifying any contract they whould have signed.

As long as you are not forced the answer is no. In fact women in porn make far more money than male actors on average. It is also quite sexist to act like only men like porn.

that actually happened to a friend of mine, she got drunk and her (then) boyfriend convinced her to strip and masturbate on camera, then sent it to all his mates while he was drunk.
that is taking advantage!

I the woman voluntarily participates in it, then no. It's hardly taking advantage of someone if they agree to it.

Well part of it is her fault for getting drunk in the first place.

Plus that doesn't really count as pornography. If the boyfriend was selling the video for profit, then it would count. As it stands now it's just something that makes your friend look foolish.

if anything, porn is taking advantage of men, most can't resist it, the women are getting paid a lot of money for it. i am against forced porn of course. but if a woman is over 18 and is willing then there is nothing wrong with it.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: The sex industry is based around demeaning women. Despite the ridiculous rumours, people do not get into the sex industry because they like to bang, they get into it because they need money fast, and they don't have qualifications.

There are many porn directors who aren't creepy sleezeballs, who respect their actresses and actors and create interesting alternative porn, where you can nearly guarentee that the majority of them aren't off their tits on various stimulants.

And there are many who are just gross human beings.

Anyone who really wants to argue on the side of porn, look at gonzo porn, and tell me that after that you feel that porn empowers women.

On the other hand, my little sister offered this justification for the porn industry, which makes me laugh every time, then reprimand myself: SKANKS NEED JOBS TOO, ERINNA

Thank you, little sister for your helpful remarks.
