For me, gore does matter depending on the kind of game it is. For games like God of War, it's an absolute must (Impalments, decapitations, eviscerations, gouging, terminal blade blowjob). But for games like Call of Duty, not so much (little blood splatters suffice). So does the amount of gore matter to you in a game?

Hmm, it doesn't matter too much. But I do like at least a little blood in my video games.

No, not at all. I mean have it where appropriate, but don't over do it. I don't see why anyone would be obsessed with it being in a game unless they had some sort of fetish for it.

No, it doesn't.
If it has some, fine. If it has lots, OK. If it has none, OK again.

I grew up with games, like Mario, Duck hunt and Pacman, and I still play some of them. So no blood in games doesn't matter to me.

Unless of course it's a game that requires blood, like Mortal Kombat, For some reason I just can't picture that game without the bloody violence.

If it's overdone and makes no sense where it's placed, then it can be annoying.
If done right it can be a joy.

Too much gore breaks immersion, though it can be funny.
Too little gore also break immersion and isn't funny at all.

Blood and gore don't matter to me too much in games, but there should be a little depending on the game. Though I did buy the new Soldier of Fortune just so I can tear some people apart and see arms fly.

Not really, no. The only time I care is when it goes over the top with the blood & gore etc., then I find it irritating.

I'm kind of obssessed with realism in games. I want to see games where everything, from the physics engine right down to the amount of gore, is realistic. If I shoot an en emy then I want to see the part of them injured actually put out of use or wounded, and see blood flowing from a wound. If I fire an arrow then I want it to stick in material or enemies as if it were real. And if I have a chainsaw and use it on someone in a game then it's only natural that I want to see realistic gore, with actual bits of flesh and tissure flying up and blood pumping out of an open wound. And have my enemy lying on the floor bleeding to death.

I'm only interested in gore if it's realistic. Realism is what I want in a game, so it needs to be based on context and situation, I guess.

I love realism. When I shoot something, I want it to bleed. But the kind of blood and gore from the Kill Bill movies is so over the top and excessive that it negates the realistic part.

A happy medium is all I want.
