Ok, that crosses the line twice. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CrossesTheLineTwice]

Once, by pulling the prank. Twice, by broadcasting it on national TV. I'm very disappointed in you, Japan. I expect an apology in writing by the end of the day.
No! No TV tropes damnit, i'm in class!
Forgive meeeeeeee!

I laughed up until the point the man was confronted with his own mortality when they clicked the gun directly in his face.

He actually thought he was going to die. Not the "OMG IM SO SCARED OF BUNGIE JUMPING" afraid of dying, but the "This is it" kind of dying.

That is too far, way too far.
Ya, that's where it truely crosses the line for me also.

He obviously agreed to have himself broadcast on TV after the fact, so he must have thought it was funny.

That makes you think... what did they do to people who refused to be broadcast...?

I've seen far worse pranks in the US, and I don't think it would give him psychological damage at all. Besides, we've all seen the videos where the room mate dresses up in a scary costume and scares the crap out of a sleeping person, what's the difference? Because at the end of the day, you have a good laugh about it.

I dont think it crosses a line. It may be in bad taste. But taste is relative.
It was funny, but to someone who may have been in a similar situation it might trigger a flashback or some shit.

Frankly we should have more shows like that. Ever wonder how people would react in a crisis? Would they be heroes or cowards?

That's disgusting. I might be able to laugh if they only took it as far as the window breaking and the guy getting to the locked door (if the other guys hadn't been shot), but then the two guys come in and start shooting and point one at his head. That is just not right; fear is funny, genuine fear for your life isn't.

I found it hillarious.

Personally, I would enjoy being in one of these scenes. Obviously not at the time, I'd be completely pissing myself, but after that, when they've explained it and I've calmed down. We watch scary movies and play video games to experience simulated emotions, this is just a few (or few thouand) steps above that.

No way, it's totally hilarious. In America people would sue due to stress and long term psychological trauma... we are such wimps.
