No opinion. I have no experience with them.

4.Yes
5.Usually cigarettes, occasionally cigars, and rarely pipe and water-pipe
6.Addiction is not concern for me. I guess I'm one of those lucky bastards who don't have predisposition for nicotine addiction (I have read there are ~33% of people in Europe who simply can't get physically addicted to nicotine- something to do with brain chemistry). So I can quit and start whenever I want- in matter of fact I'm currently in non-smoking stage (stopped around month ago). Might get back to smoking someday, but it can be tomorrow, after 5 years or after 50 years- it's indefinite.
7.If she is addict then no. But I would date someone with similar nicotine-resistant condition I have. And if she were smoking at that time that would not be a big deal.
8.16 (I fooled around cigarettes few times before that, but that was actually first "real" time)

Hope it helps :)

I'm going to answer this question for me and for my wife (she's not an escapist, but she'd like to help your research):

Me:

1. Gender: Male
2. Age: 41
3. Continent you currently live in: North America
4. Do you use nicotine-products?: No
5. Ciqarettes, pipe, ciqars or snuff?: N/A
6. If you knew you could stop using nicotine-products painlessly without the risk of failing, would you?: N/A (If I did smoke, the answer would be yes)
7. Would you date a smoker?: Yes (married one, even. *initially, this was no, but then I met the woman who would later become my wife--drawn to her, as it were)
8. What age did you start smoking?: Tried it for three days when I was 12
9. What age did you stop smoking?: 12
10. Did you quit with the help of products like gum or patches?: No
11. Would you say outside products like nicotine-gum help?: Not sure
12. What do you say is the main reason for quitting?: Didn't want to have a laryngectomy (Sixth grade teacher caught wind of what we were doing and showed an anti-smoking film in class).

My Wife:

1. Gender: Female
2. Age: 54
3. Continent you currently live in: North America
4. Do you use nicotine-products?: No, stopped using 2011
5. Ciqarettes, pipe, ciqars or snuff?: When I smoke I smoked cigarettes & pipe
6. If you knew you could stop using nicotine-products painlessly without the risk of failing, would you?: Yes
7. Would you date a smoker?: No
8. What age did you start smoking?: 15
9. What age did you stop smoking?: 53
10. Did you quit with the help of products like gum or patches?: Yes (chantix)
11. Would you say outside products like nicotine-gum help?: Yes
12. What do you say is the main reason for quitting?: Because she promised her husband (me) that she would stop (only took nine years to do it).

1. Gender: Male

2. Age: 32

3. Continent you currently live in: North America

4. Do you use nicotine-products? Yes

5. Ciqarettes, pipe, ciqars or snuff?: Cigarettes rarely (approx 2 packs a year), Pipes almost never (maybe one every two years), Cigars rarely (2 per year)

6. If you knew you could stop using nicotine-products painlessly without the risk of failing, would you?: I don't really have the addiction that a lot of others might have, I go months on end without smoking and never suffer withdrawal in between so probably not because I enjoy smoking when I do.

7. Would you date a smoker?: Probably. I have in the past.

8. What age did you start smoking?: 16

9. What age did you stop smoking?: 32

10. Did you quit with the help of products like gum or patches?: No

11. Would you say outside products like nicotine-gum help? Not for me and in my experience with other people. No.

12. What do you say is the main reason for quitting? Financial. I spend roughly $30.00 a year on my "habit" but my health insurance has a zero tolerance mentality on tobacco use and will give me a few hundred dollars off of my health insurance for being a non user.
