12: I quit because I wanted to start running again, and didn't like that I was an out of weight fat slob, and future health issues really freaked me out too.

My nan had been diagnosed with lung cancer a year previously, but the main reason for quitting revolved around my fear of getting dry socket (I had just had 7 wisdom teeth removed) and later the realisation that if I started smoking again I'd only have to go through the palava of quitting somewhere down the line.

Sounds good, but if I do decide to start smoking, I guess I'd have a reason for it.

Probably not. It's a major turnoff, but never say never. There are more important things.

If I had started and quit, it would be because of the financial drain, and because of health reasons. Dunno which would dominate; it would probably depend on my financial situation at the time.
