Excellent movie, Donnie Darko. I've seen it a few times over the years, and every time I've watched it it holds up just as well.

I used to like it a lot, but then I kinda got burnt out on it. Maybe I've watched it too many times, maybe it was watching the director's cut, maybe it was watching the director's commentary, but now I hate it. It just feels so pretentious and full of itself.

I think my feelings for the director colored my feelings for the movie.

Yeah it's pretty good. Not life changing, but pretty damn good nonetheless. Also Drew Barrymore is fit.

And I like the song that's playing as Donnie is cycling home near the start of the film...

I thought it was a terrible film.
Maybe it was the hype, maybe it was the poor acting, maybe it was the 'ho hum' of every scene.
I don't know. The point is: I forgot about it as soon as it was over.

Obviously others disagree, and that's fine. I just thought it was bad.

Went to halloween dressed as Donnie the skeleton, with the numbers penned on my arm just in case no one got it straight away. A girl I like saw my costume, saw the numbers, screamed and threw her arms round me. Was a good night
