Is anyone else as excited as me? What platforms do you think it will be on? Also is this game possibly going to be the most relistic, FPS in our current generation? I hope they have the spidermastermind in it. They didn't have him in DOOM3. And it is just a rumor. But they say there might be a new movie coming out. After the release of the game.

No I wish I did. But I have been keeping an eye out for a while. I'm sad Carmack hasen't said nothing new about it. There is a good chance it will be released in 2009. Hopefully.
The first Doom was and I think will always be the best. Doom 2 and 3 werent very good. The Quake series got better as it went along. I even liked the most recent Quake, but didn't care much for Doom 3. I prefer Doom RPG on my cell phone over Doom 3.
I loved basically all the DOOM games. Especially the DOOM3 collectors edition. I used to have for my 360. It was pretty crummy that DOOM3 worked but. ROE didn't I was furious. I also have the DOOM collector's edition for the pc. That has Doom 1,2 and Final Doom. I never got to play ROE or DOOM mobile. I used to have Doom64 on an emulator. On my computer. It was kind of sucky.

If they can return to the pure, mindless fun of Doom, with the awesome graphics of Doom 3, then we could be onto a winner. So up the lighting, increase the weapon power and monster frequency, make the armour actually do something, bring back soul spheres and invulnerability orbs and remind us all why we loved iD in the first place.
