Read the title, folks.
In a stunning turn of events, I'm actually going to specify what kind of game I'm looking for, as apposed to vaguely saying "Tell me a good game" with no information beforehand telling you the sort of thing I want! Shock and awe!
I'm already getting Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario Sunshine, and am looking for a cheapish sort of game. Platformers and RPGs tend to interest me and I enjoy a bit of multiplayer now and again, whether it be co-op or versus. Let's get reccomendin'!

- TimeSplitters Future Perfect
- Metroid Prime 1 and 2
- Pikmin 1 and 2
- Beyond Good And Evil
- Starfox Adventures
- Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
- Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess

That's a little list that'll keep you occupied. It's nice and varied, platformers, action-RPG's, shooters. I think the GameCube is a severely underrated system, it has plenty of really good titles.

Well, since you're already getting 2 Mario games, I hate to suggest another, but the first thing I thought of was Mario Party 6. I love it's versatility, in that it's a blast to play with friends, but also fun alone, and the mini-games that take place every round vary greatly from each other, so you're never continually doing one thing. If you can stand any more Mario, get this!

That is not a platformer, nor an RPG and does not have ANY multiplayer...
That's OK, those were just preferences. Not all of the reccomendations have to have any of those elements.

Super Smash Brothers isn't a Mario game. Not that it matters, just thought I'd point it out.

For RPG I would recommend Tales of Symphonia, for multiplayer if you like shooter I recommend Geist and also as suggested by OptimusHagrid both Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect have great multiplayer in both Co-op and versus departments, oh yeah I forgot to mention Tales of Symphonia is Co-op too and it's actually quite fun in that mode too!

Tales Of Symphonia is a massive and utterly fantastic RPG. It happened to come on two disks, had about nine different characters for your party for you to mix and/or match at your pleasure, a variety of outfits ranging from "What a nice suit" to "Dressed in the dark", and a fantastic combat system, and as such, happens to get my recomendation. Also try the Viewtiful Joe series, which was a harder-than-especially-tough-diamond of a side-scrolling-beat-em-up that also happened to be a good laugh in places too... And that's on easy. Well, in places. The difficulty, the funny is wherever it wants to be.

Luigi's Mansion[sub]Well I liked it[/sub]

Wario World, his first 3D platformer makes for fun times

Donkey Kong : Jungle Beat. I put this game on any 'recommend me' thread but its brilliant. Bear in mind, this game works best with the bongo's. Yes you can use the controller but it just isn't the same

Thanks a lot, there's a buttload of great suggestions there! I have to agree with you about the Gamecube being underrated. That poor little box never got the attention it deserved. I'm kind of lucky though, because now I can pick up one of my favourite consoles of all time (including controllers and a memory card) for under 100 dollars.
