We need a sticky "Dont make topics about Wow, people with no self control would get addicted to something else anyway, avoid all discussion"

That said, Ive been a fairly active WoW player, I lost controll for a few weeks so I decided to quit before I really couldnt focus on anything else.

now I played 40h of Fallout 3 this week :(

It's just like with the slasher movie genre controversy of the 80's

people think if you watch friday the 13th or play Halo or whatever, you're going to murder someone

so by that logic, will showing episodes of my little pony to murderers and making them play barbie horse adventures make them nicer people? doubt it

An addictive personality is an addictive personality. Whether that person gets caught by; drugs alcoholism, compulsive gambling, gaming, religion or any of the many hobbies and habits that trap a person with that kind of personality, they are still going to have trouble functioning, and Dr. Asshats pop-psychology Bull#$%^ doesn't help anyone. Real psychologist don't belittle the people they are treating and frankly picking on WoW players shows a deep misunderstanding of the kinds of compulsive behaviour that can be a problem, at least WoW players have to interact with people.
