Dr Who Easter Special

so, what did people think of the Dr Who Easter Special, Planet of the Dead?
i thought it was quite good. not a big fan if The Doctor and not seen many episodes but it was good. lost it a bit towards the end with the flying bus, though i could understand why it flew as it was explained. yeah, a good episode. your thought?

It wasnt bad, they hinted at afew things that would be important in later episodes but it all really seems like they're stalling until they get a new doctor and do a new series again.

The only 2 reasons it was worth watching was for the conversation he had with the telepathic woman 2 minutes before the end and for the sneak preview of the next one. Other then that, it was boring and predictable. Wish the guys on the bus had gotten more time as they could have been interesting.

wouldnt you get as much from the photos as you would from that trailer at the end of the episode. bt i thought it was ok it wasnt as good as some episodes though it was like they where just stalling.
I like the bit at the end where the woman said his song was coming to an end as it didnt spell out who was going to kill him, i think its going to be abbadon/the beast what do you guys think?

Lee Evans kind of improved the whole episode. The thief had some real cringe worthy lines that felt unnnatural to the whole situation (and the series as a whole, but don't get me started). All in all; FUCK YOU RUSSELL T DAVIS YOU GORMLESS TWAT FOR CHEAPENING ONE OF THE BEST SCI FI SHOWS EVER. A special circle in hell awaits rapists.

Consider it Doctor Who meets Lara Croft on the set of Pitch Black, in panto.

Oh Lee Evans MADE that episode for me! He was great. I thought it was a pretty middle of the road episode though, not good, not really bad either though. There are worse ways to spend 40 minutes of your life.

do you mean the who 'your song is coming to an end' thing hinting to the new Dr bloke, Matt Something, that's taking over next year? the 'he will knock 4 times' is intriguing, any ideas what it is as i doubt i'm not enough of a fan to watch every episode to find out what it means.

It was definitely too much like a "Make your own adventure" episode. Sarcastic, attractive sidekick? Check. Clumsy idiot saving the day? Check. Guy in an alien mask? Check. SFX scene in London to use up the budget? Check. Surprised a talking dog didn't turn up half way through.

Fingers crossed for the next one though. If theres someone decent writing/directing it, it'll be good. If its RTD, it won't be.

i agree with you, i had the exact same thought. i was wondering why there were no other people appearing on the desert planet when the rip was 10 miles wide. surely there would be a few hundred cars/other people caught in it before the managed to block it off.
