I think it was the starting area and the new Darkspawn that caused that problem. Once you got into the city it looked a little better than Origins.

They changed the art style of the game. Most people like the change, but I'm with you.

It's mostly the Darkspawn. Before, they looked like stiched together corpses. Now they just look like humans with a bad case of jaundice. Maybe it has something to do with the Wardens seeing the Darkspawn for what they truly are. That is one of the responses I got when I mentioned it to my friends.

I think it was the starting area and the new Darkspawn that caused that problem. Once you got into the city it looked a little better than Origins.

I haven't seen the city, but my problem is mostly with the Darkspawn.

I'm pretty sick of hearing people whine about large breasts. It's gotten to the point where people act like anyone having large breasts is unnatural and never happens. I've spoken to a couple of large busted females, and they've noticed it as well, and they aren't even hardcore gamers.

It's almost like some people are jealous that their real life selves or girlfriends do not have a chest that big. Why else should you care? Girls that have big boobs do exist. Just because they are not A or B cup does not make them abnormal.

True. But most girls do not. Some characters having massive breasts? Fine. All of them? Stop it.

I wouldn't care if some of them had massive breasts, but had more clothes on. What I dislike is the blatant sexualisation of women and their breasts. It's one thing to have them, it's another thing entirely to have them hanging out all the time. Once they put men in skimpy little tops and short shorts to show off their assets, I'll be cool with it. As it is, they only do it to women, which is essentially the problem.

Yeah, the new darkspawn look is awful. The argument doesn't hold up. In a couple of the origins, you fight the darkspawn before becoming a Warden.

It looked fine to me, but I was somewhat bored by the blandness of the design in the first one. They said they were going to do "dark fantasy", but it ended up being high fantasy anyway. Which is fine, but it wasn't very colorful, just washed-out and full of copious blood effects.

Unless you meant that it looks worse technically. If you're running it on the PC, remember to choose DX11 and turn up the settings. If you're on a console, dunno. Didn't Origins look pretty bad on consoles already?

I've just played the demo for the second game in order to get myself familiar with all the changes and all I could notice was that there were giant tits everywhere.

Now I'm not averse to large breasts, but to have them in every single scene and on every single female character is a bit much. Even Flemmeth now has a sturdy DD going and Isabella is 25% of Isabella is her boobs alone. It's to the point where it's just distracting.

I don't know why but I expected a bit more class from BioWare.

I agree one-hundred percent! When I played the demo I thought to myself "does every female character in this game have an enormous rack?".

The only thing I have a huge problem with is the Darkspawn. They are just so....boring now. They look too human. On the Console VS. P.C., I couldn't really tell the difference and I played both versions on good tech.

Most don't? As of 2009, the average size was a 36C.

Regardless, men do show off a lot, but people don't take note. All those muscles you see, how many men in real life have huge bulking muscles? Almost no girl has huge bulking muscles, so what else are you going to show off? Not that you have to show something off. A guy walking around with his shirt off, no ones going to take notice, and it does happen often, It's just girls boobs are a lot more noticeable because they are generally covered up.

Not that I particularly mind, but it does feel like the invasion of the giant fake stripper boobs.

Morrigan in DAO had a much nicer, more natural looking pair.

Overall, however, I like the DA2 art direction and character design more than DAO.

I don't care too much one way or the other, but personally, I find big fake stripper boobs to be extremely unattractive.

The problem is that the skimpy outfits isn't what is considered "sexy" for men in almost any culture, contrary to popular belief. The armored knight or well-dressed man has always been the sexier stereotype for men.

At best, in most cultures Dante's tight leather clothes are the max; much past that and it goes into the "too much" area.

I honestly didn't even notice it. I think you guys are exaggerating just a bit. Isabella has what looks like larger C-cups or maybe D?

I haven't really paid attention to the others, but I googled Isabela pics and that's what I got. Suffice to say, the other females assets are pretty normal. A lot of people seem to complain about Isabela as she's supposed to be the "sneak rogue" and is on the heavier-side (pathetic actually, she's not heavy at all, just 'normal'.. go figure). Thing is, she's a busty pirate, not a dashing rogue.

Honestly, I think the only people steretyping/over-generalizing are you folks and others that complain about it. You think certain characters are supposed to meet your criteria, and they do not. For the rest of us, it was a complete non-issue and not noticeable (for me anyway), until now.

The weirdest part of this is that I can clearly remember reading an article or news post on this site indicating that the Darkspawn would only be a very small part of Dragon Age 2, but I can't find it anymore. I've searched, but it just doesn't seem to turn up. At this point I'm beginning to wonder if I simply imagined the whole thing.
