The thought of Isabella being an acrobatic rogue made my fiancée laugh, talk about balance issue and back pain. My guess is they are just responding to fans loving the terrible proportions that are Miranda from ME2.

As a side note about the graphics I really hope they get polished befor final release, at one point my sisters boobs were flapping in the wind and the loading, my god the loading...

Really, Bioware develops another engrossing 3D cinematic world, with great lore and a wonderful story, and ya'll boot it up and focus on the tits and ass of fictional characters.

Priorities, fix them.

Exaggerated breast sizes are found in anime, and J-games in general. If we were talking about a Street Fighter character, or the latest Dead or Alive, I would understand. But this all seems a bit silly to me.

I'm pretty sick of hearing people whine about large breasts. It's gotten to the point where people act like anyone having large breasts is unnatural and never happens. I've spoken to a couple of large busted females, and they've noticed it as well, and they aren't even hardcore gamers.

It's almost like some people are jealous that their real life selves or girlfriends do not have a chest that big. Why else should you care? Girls that have big boobs do exist. Just because they are not A or B cup does not make them abnormal.
True. But most girls do not. Some characters having massive breasts? Fine. All of them? Stop it.

I wouldn't care if some of them had massive breasts, but had more clothes on. What I dislike is the blatant sexualisation of women and their breasts. It's one thing to have them, it's another thing entirely to have them hanging out all the time. Once they put men in skimpy little tops and short shorts to show off their assets, I'll be cool with it. As it is, they only do it to women, which is essentially the problem.
Most don't? As of 2009, the average size was a 36C.

Regardless, men do show off a lot, but people don't take note. All those muscles you see, how many men in real life have huge bulking muscles? Almost no girl has huge bulking muscles, so what else are you going to show off? Not that you have to show something off. A guy walking around with his shirt off, no ones going to take notice, and it does happen often, It's just girls boobs are a lot more noticeable because they are generally covered up.
A C cup isn't actually that big. I'm a C cup. The only reason they ever look that big is because of push-up bras, or padding. Take that away and they're just average sized breasts. And by average, I mean 'not actually that big'.

Men do sometimes take their shirts off. However, a male chest is not seen as a "private area", and not objectified. Breasts are considered sexual by most of Western culture. Male chests are sometimes admired or revealed, but sexualised? No, not really. So, sexualising males. Where's the close-up of a scantily-clad male lower body? I certainly see enough jiggling female bottoms, let alone jiggling breasts.

Console or PC?

It looked fine to me, but I was somewhat bored by the blandness of the design in the first one. They said they were going to do "dark fantasy", but it ended up being high fantasy anyway. Which is fine, but it wasn't very colorful, just washed-out and full of copious blood effects.

Unless you meant that it looks worse technically. If you're running it on the PC, remember to choose DX11 and turn up the settings. If you're on a console, dunno. Didn't Origins look pretty bad on consoles already?
The only thing I have a huge problem with is the Darkspawn. They are just so....boring now. They look too human. On the Console VS. P.C., I couldn't really tell the difference and I played both versions on good tech.
Fair enough, they do look a lot like zombies.

The weirdest part of this is that I can clearly remember reading an article or news post on this site indicating that the Darkspawn would only be a very small part of Dragon Age 2, but I can't find it anymore. I've searched, but it just doesn't seem to turn up. At this point I'm beginning to wonder if I simply imagined the whole thing.

Creepy.
I think I read the same thing, but it was in a magazine. I think the idea has been scrapped though. It would be cool to just fight some humans.

I didn't notice any of that really...

Get your minds out of the gutter!

Kidding, but still, I didn't notice much aside from Hawke's sister suddenly changing form, which just made me laugh. It was a nice touch.

From what I understand, she's supposed to be a swashbuckling pirate-type. Not your standard acrobatic rogue. Though if you're talking about her class abilities, well.. character realities are generally thrown out the window in RPGs, because most of the class moves are the same anyway.

I think it was the starting area and the new Darkspawn that caused that problem. Once you got into the city it looked a little better than Origins.
I haven't seen the city, but my problem is mostly with the Darkspawn.
Yeah the redesign didn't work out too well...

I have to agree with you on this good sir. I don't see how this is a problem either. I mean most guys who play this probably play females in MMOs and I can surely imagine them making a busty female in this game as well.
I almost always play a female character in RPGs and MMOs, and I certainly think Bioware have overdone it on the huge tracts of land. I mean, I like boobies and all, but these look kinda ridiculous.

There is such a thing as too big. I mean, anything more than a handful and what's the point?

Maybe I'm old fashioned but gigantic silicone porn tits don't really float my boat. I prefer real looking ones.

That's okay, since the Darkspawn aren't gonna be a big focus in DA2, anyway.

I don't really see a problem with this, either. As it's been said, if they distract too much from the important stuff, the important stuff wasn't very interesting.

Also, I'll probably go with the "unreliable narrator" thing, both with the female figures and the Darkspawn. I like the "Wardens see the Darkspawn for what they really are" thing. Plus, odds are good Varric never saw a Darkspawn, and so doesn't quite know what they look like, so his description of them might be off.

As for the "how can she fight with those things" question, there's this neat thing called the "willing suspension of disbelief". It's a fictional fantasy setting. Just go with it.

The main character can shoot fire balls out of his hand, don't think for a second that her balance issues would bother me (or be noticed other than a chuckle). :)

This comparison is just kind of funny:

I played the demo and actually thought the giant bust sizes were on account of the story being framed by the Dwarf character. Loves big tits so he just keeps on describing them left and right with any character that might have tits.

You know how things are exaggerated in Varric's first telling of the story? That includes breasts...

Look at the video at 3:33 and then at 9:32.

My god those are almost as irregularly proportioned like some Anime! I agree OP, perhaps a size function >.>?

Because i like small breasts?

That's how i see it as a problem. Big breasts just annoy the piss out of me, especially when in games or movies or, why dance around it, porn, they just flop around.

It's not very attractive to me.

Not a serious one mind you. I probably won't give a shit after i get into the game.

However it's something that will end with me rolling my eyes and going 'Christ'

Kinda like in FFVII when Tifa pulled herself up a cliff with her massive fucking Tits. I swear to god that was just a joke they forgot to delete.

Call it the Mass Effect 2 Syndrome. Gone were the normal looking women (and aliens?) who wore armour to protect themselves and in came the strippers. I didn't like it there and I don't like it here, the only difference is I won't be buying Dragon Age 2 after Bioware pretty much spelled out that they took away everything that made Dragon Age good.

Wow. I never thought I would find someone willing to DEFEND the over glorified sexualization of women.

While it's true not everyone's an A cup... That doesn't mean everyone is an E cup or better, either, as games often depict.
