Dragon Age 3: What characters do you want/expect in the main party?

So, while taking a bath i started thinking about characters that we could probably see in the main characters party.Those are my picks:
Characters that id like to have in the group:
Rogue: Varrick(the best thing to come out of Dragon Age 2, though i do hope he wont start to fight for the couse of the surface dwarfs),Talis(from the Mark of Assasin DLC)
Warrior:Alistair(probably not possible with the whole king/not king thing)Oghren, A qunari(maybe Sten, preferably a Tal-Vashoth)
Mage:Morrigan(again,probably not, becouse demon/god baby.)A tevinter mage.
And a put a Grey Warden in there somewhere
What i expect:
Rogue:Leliana(the seekers,chantry-mage war, Orleis)
Warrior:A seeker, probably the one that interogated Varric in DA2
Mage:here i have completly no idea(maybe Anders ressurected for the 3rd time)

So people, what are your`e opinions,what do you want and what do you expect?

I want all new characters to be honest it will make the game more interesting. I think I would like to see another dwarf in the party, maybe a girl and a proper Qunari might be interesting. Maybe a mage from the Tevinter Imperium? Perhaps the child of a magister or something to let us see how the other half live .

I'd like the main character to be a human I really don't like the way the DA2 elves look.

I fully expect to see Morrigan, Alistair, Ogren, and Varrick back, because I hated all of them. Leliana will come back too, but Merrill probably will only get a cameo appearance.

I think they should just keep bringing Anders back to life, just for kicks. They could make it into a running joke.

Otherwise, I'd prefer to see all new allies. If the old ones come back, it should be as guest party members at the most. Though I'm not against the idea of characters we've already met making a reappearance, like Isabella did in DA2. Cullen or Flemeth would be good choices in this regard.

I think that one press conference that everyone hated mentioned having a Grey Warden and a Seeker in your party.
I'm hoping for less Orlesians. Damn Frenchies.

I'd like to see a bunch of radically opposed people: a Seeker, Tevinter Mage, Qunari, etc.

The best part of DA2 was walking around the city listening to my companions argue with one another. Providing that they can find a good dynamic of characters to keep those conversations going, I'll be happy.

I don't really want them to bring back characters (or expect it other than a few walk-on roles, and maybe one recurring main party member); it's much more enjoyable to learn about new people and their stories, rather than re-hash old times.

But that's how you know that they're the ones to save the world! Every bunch of disciplined, unified, homogeneous warriors will fail miserably, while our plucky and mismatched heroes will come from nowhere and save the day.

I have a feeling, from a clip I saw somewhere that i'll hunt down shortly, the Seeker from DA2 is going to be in the party.

The clip showed a short haired lass they called a Seeker so i'm just going to assume it was her.

After seeing Leliana in DA2 (magically, she was dead in my DA:O) I have a feeling she's going to show up again.

I also heard a rumour Sten is popping up again but can't confirm that one.

I'm unsure if any other characters will show up.

I have a feeling the rest of the party will probably be made up of all new shiny people .... hopefully not as dense as Merrill (oh come on she was as sharp as a wooden spoon).

I'd like to have Varric, Merrill, Alistair, and Morrigan available. I loved Merrill in DA2, I really did. Innocent naive little blood mages are so cute!

Who I want to come back: Merrill, and Hawke because they're together. Morrigan, because although I found her very annoying with her view of the world, I did like her character and digging until I found the nice girl underneath all the bitterness. Leliana, who I'm sure will be back because she's a fan favorite and he was my Warden's love interest. Varric because he's Varric. Those are the characters I want to come back and be a part of my party. Giving Talis a full blown game would be nice too.

This is what I expect:

Merrill (or whoever the love interest is of Hawke) and Hawke will be mentioned, and the love interest may even make a cameo, but Hawke will be 'gone' somewhere.

Isabela will have her ship and be sailing somewhere.

Fenris will be...being moody somewhere. Or, fighting against the mages in the war that's going to break out.

The Hawke sibling will know where Hawke is, but won't say. May end up joining your party because he/she has nothing better to do.

Sebastian will come to Kirkwall with his army, only to find it either in utter chaos, or firmly under Templar control, thus being denied his revenge.

Sten is probably promoted now to a higher rank, and you probably won't know it's him until you talk to him enough and he drops a clue.

Morrigan will probably be trying to warn people about Flemeth and also protecting her baby.

Alistar is either leading the Grey Warders, or running Frelden, depending on your actions.

Wynne will either be trying to keep what little mages are left who are loyal to the Circle together, be First Enchanter, or she will have given her life trying to save younger mages who were in danger of being killed by a mob of angry anti-mage people.

We already know what Leliana is doing.

Varric will be in a bar in Val'Royue or whatever, telling stories when you meet him. Probably too much trouble for him to get back to Kirkwall after being dragged all the way there.

Avaline will still be Captain of the Guard in Kirkwall.

Orghren will be in the Wardens, killing Darkspawn, demons, and anything else while he's busy drinking.

I would like Oghren to be in my party. But this time he has to not be shit.

I'd imagine Cassandra, the seeker from DA2 will become a party member.
Varric was a well received character, and a lot of fangirls were pushing for him to be a romance option, so it wouldn't be that unlikely to see him make a return.
Sten was another popular party member and rumors of his return maybe indicate he'll be back.

I can't imagine many returning characters will join the party. I'm gonna bet that Morrigan and Leliana will be tied up in the plot and will be important characters, but not party members. Same goes for Alistair if he's alive in your game.

As for the rest, I'm betting a new cast. I wanna see a female Qunari party member.

Actually I wanna see a female dwarf too, if only because they were all strangely absent in DA2.

Apart from that, I reckon the party members will fulfill the traditional Bioware archetypes.

But with the new Qunari design... I absolutely love the reimaging of them in the sequel...<.<

I really want the new one to be centered around the Qunari... they're so awesome and there's so much to expand upon...<.<

I really don't want any of the old characters. None of them were especally endearing to me. If I had to pick one, it'd be Sten. I am always drawn to the characters that are screwy races with a different viewpoint on life than everyone else.
I just wouldn't mind having a party that isn't made up of all humans/elves. I miss Planescape where my party involved an Immortal who had no memory, a wisecracking skull, a succubus who wouldn't have sex, a githzerai bound to you until death , an animated suit of armor. Come on! So much better!

Yeah, they did that to me, too. At the end, when they're talking about "the Warden", and I'm like "Leliana, you were there. You might try to remember when your girlfriend DIED killing a giant freaking DRAGON." But no, apparently I was playing Elf Jesus with Boobs, so she rose three days later and now no one knows where she is.
