I started to throw together a short parody of what Origins would've been like if it used DA2s design ideas on the BioWare forum (to their credit BioWare don't lock or delete parodies or constructive criticisms) but due to surprising amounts of positive feedback I kept writing more, 'tis here [http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/141/index/6927245/1] if anyone fancies a read. it makes fun of a few flaws and common criticisms in Origins as well

I stopped reading it after the first bit with Morrigan because it was pretty much only "I HATE DRAGON AGE 2"

it's actually not. I like both games, but while both have their flaws there's a lot more in DA2 and they're much fresher in the mind and easier to poke fun at. trust me, if I didn't like a game I wouldn't waste my time playing and writing about it

plus that Morrigan bit you mentioned actually pokes fun at one of the popular complaints of DA:O (Morrigan disapproves spam)

I enjoyed it.

I'll be honest; I skipped it all, but after reading some of the comments I trudged through all the words.

You still have a problem with "Morrigan always dissapproves"? That was funny at the time, but everyone realises that it wasn't really that bad, and it certainly didn't go against her characterisation. And repeatedly having to go through waves of similar bad guys? I definitely remember that being just as prevalent, if not more so, in Origins. Or any game where combat was the focus of the gameplay for that matter.

Overall, you've just taken the most obvious flaws and attacked them in the most unsubtle style possible. And then made that same 'joke' over, and over, and over...

EDIT: In fact, nothing has bolstered my faith in Bioware more than knowing the same people who relentlessly complain about DA2 are the same idiots who are wooping and applauding this.

it's a common complaint that most people remember so it makes good material for parody

I certainly don't remember additional waves appearing out of thin air just after you thought you'd killed them all in Origins. Or any other game I've played that hasn't been a platform game on an Atari or something. In fact, off the top of my head, I can't think of any mobs in Origins that weren't standing in position ready for the player to approach them

possibly then you just missed the more subtle ones

You...have a exorbitant amount of free time don't you? I mean, I get that you don't like the game, but cmon, like in the amount of time it took you to write that, couldn't you have like cured cancer or something? ;)

We are building consensus.

We will save this in our data hub for future reference when we are not exhausted.

... I have no idea why I felt the need to say that as Legion.

Seriously though, I'm too tired to read the whole thing but the bit with Morrigan was funny. Especially when the Warden called attention to the fact Morrigan was not there when the +15 rivalry popped up.

The fourth wall was made to be broken.

I do actually like the game, as I explained further up in the thread, and it doesn't take that long to write. I have an over-active imagination so I'm pretty much always writing something inside my head anyway, I just make a mental note of some of the better, funnier or amusingly bad ideas and write them up into something when I get chance. I actually intended this to be a rather short parody but due to feedback and how much I enjoyed writing it I kept going
