I haven't had any crashes at all. Only problem was needing to update some C++ files or something after the patch.

When i get these problems with a game, my very first reaction is always to look up any new Display/Graphics Drivers for my videocard. Once everything is up to date, 90% of the time my games runs well. You'll still get the occasional crash but that happens to everything :(

If that still doesn't work, i drop the in game settings down. and that will usually fix the 5% of the remaining 10%

IF even that doesnt work...it becomes a waiting game for a patch that works :(

p.s. have this kind of problem when i play Empire: Total War. Late game you crash like almost after every turn :(

It's the same with any game really. There are so many different combination's of hardware, some will have problems to start with.
I have 45 hours playtime (Yes I play way to much, bioware games always do this to me) and have not crashed once. As others have said, update your drivers, and if that doesn't help, hopefully a patch will fix it for you shortly.

I've never had any problems with it, unless you count dieing often.
lol. Yes, Dieing is a common pastime in Dragon Age.
What really sucks about it is when you start racking up those injuries, because those injury kits seems to be rather scarce.

Sounds like these problems are pretty rare, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if the reviewers never came across them. It's not like they're playing their games on several dozen different computers just in case it doesn't work on one of them, you know.

I can't play the damn game either! It runs for about 10-5 minutes and then it explodes into an orgy of polygons and flickering! Not to mention this causes BSOD from time to time. I have updated the damn drivers to the most recent ones and still nothing. I removed Warden's Keep and it fixed it. I was very glad and played for about 10 hours yesterday. Today I return home and start the game. After about 30 minutes the orgy starts again!

How can I enjoy a game when it's trying to fuck itself along with my pc?

Whats your specs? It helps to know.
Forgive me, I dont have the exact specs for my cpu:

CPU: AMD 3.2 Ghz dual-core (I think)
RAM: 4 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 285
OS: Windows XP

EDIT: corrected slight spelling mistake.
My laptop is a core 2 duo 2.13, 4gb of ram, and a Nvidia GTX 260m running windows 7 and I don't have these problems at all. Maybe I'm lucky? Or maybe it's your xp.

I'm just grasping here.

No and if I hear this again I will explode into a fireball! I believe it was physx. I disabled it and sat the whole night playing (I just finished and am tired as fuck). I guess I will be sure tomorrow.

That falls under category of problem with your PC! As opposed to problem with game itself.

Why are you using XP? Since 7 is out you really should update. XP is severely outdated and you're gimping yourself by using it. They aren't making games tailored to XP anymore, it's all about Vista and 7.

If it was a common problem, chances are I'd have experienced it. But my game hasn't crashed once. Maybe it's just a problem on your PC's end.

This sounds like an overheating GPU problem. Try cleaning out your PC of all dust and dirt; if that doesn't work try overclocking the fan in RivaTuner.

I feel it may be due to the game maxing CPU usage
Sorry, i have to point out this part.

It may be you're having unrelated problems as well. But if your PC is overheating because of CPU usage you HAVE A HARDWARE/COOLING PROBLEM.

Doesn't matter how badly coded a piece of software is, if your PC can't handle 100% loading (all cores) of CPU and GPU at the same time without overheating the problem is your hardware not software.

Sorry for the rant, i'm just fed up of seeing companies get shouted at on forums for making games that actually properly use modern multi-core CPUs.

They should be praised for making proper multi-threaded code, not berated! :)
