Allister looked at the Crossroads and decided to take the Higher Ground. He would die rather quickly should he have to face anyone in even hand to hand combat, so he decided that this was the best option.

He waved to the others and said "I am proceeding this way. I believe this path to be most beneficial to me." Without waiting for a reply, he started walking.

Sevink let out a retching cough before trudging slightly faster then he had been to catch up with Jason.
"Are we close to the source of the hoard? Because this is there stink multiplied by hundred."

"I believe so... there have been reports of Darkspawn in these mountains, but I didn't think they were true until now." Jason said, smelling the air himself and then almost retching.

There was the stench of death and decay in the air filling his lungs with a disgusting foul air. Jason looked down into the caves and motioned for Sevink to rest while the other apprentices went and checked it out.
