Dragonball finally gets a trailer

dude i know...i don't know what people's sudden obsession with turning anime into live action is. i think the fact that transformers didn't suck made people think it would work even though i don't really consider transformers an anime. look at speed racer! was that a good idea. im not going to lie, a live action eva movie intrigues me, but if it goes the way these recent anime ports have gone then i give up hope.

Despite your optimism, I am pretty sure that NGE would never make a good live action film under any circumstances, simply because it is too explicit, and the three main leads are minors. Unlike the DB series' which are pretty tame in terms of content. Thats like turning Elfen Lead into a movie.

Well, its a movie adaptation, wat do u expect? Of course they hav to make changes. But i will definitely watch it. Looks like a modern kung fu film based on the anime series. Good enough for me, and if anything i might at least get a few laughs out of it. Is it just me or did piccolo look like Jim Carrey in The Mask? Anyway, i was a huge fan of the series and watched every episode up until the later boo saga when the anime lost its momentum and slowly sloped downhill into GT. Im too loyal to let this movie be released and then NOT watch it. I hav to. I must must see it.

As a trailer, I thought it was effective enough. This particular version of Dragon Ball seems to be targetting at the Smallville crowd, just on a grander scale. Whatever, it's not like this movie will somehow dip the popularity of Dragon Ball or its relevence to popular culture and evolution of how Manga is written.

Oh god. No, no, no. Why does Bulma use guns? Why isn't Roshi even bald? What happened to the Dragonballs granting wishes? What happened to everything that made Dragonball good?

My guess, Fox happened.

They have a habit of getting rid of good things.

I was dragon-junkie-ball-thing and this is in no way the dragonball I knew and obsessed over.

LOL I immediately thought of Firefly, too. Fox has a way of taking anything even remotely good and squeezing every last drop of it's pure soul to further fuel their reality shows of lazy eyed heiresses....I was never a fan of Dragonball, but even I'm pissed at how much the pooched it. LOL We can all expect yet another horrible Dragonball game to follow this.

Take away the 'LOL's ans I might be able to respect that point.
