I've already got my dream instrument [http://www.ableton.com/].

I'm not sure if you'd say I'm good at it -- I certainly didn't put a whole lot of practice into it -- but I've produced some things [http://dsob.wordpress.com/category/original-music/] I enjoy a lot.

I want a Black Gibson SG.All i got is a Red Epiphone SG.
My guitar!

I already have my favorite guitar so my dream instrument would have to be a organ. Nothing fancy but it has to sound ominous. I would like it to also have an auto-play in case i'm busy.

I can't play any instruments at all, but if I could it would have to be this.

The Uilleann Pipes.

Are you sure you meant $3000?
Because that's a lot for a clarinet.

Yep. Well, $2970. It's very high quality, should last me a lifetime. My pride and joy. I go to a school for the performing arts and got it as a present from my parents, and I plan on continuing to play for a while yet.

That's great. Are you planning to make a career out of it?

That's my dream as a drummer.
Reminds me of when someone was looking after the percussion for the orchestra I play with. Decided to make an uber-kit for the hell of it.

Anyway, mine would be a B flat 4 valve Euphonium. Bought the one I have on the cheap so its a bit crap. I would never get rid of my trombone as I've now had it for 15 years, and the only other instrament I was ever interested in was this:

which I bought a couple of years ago for £3.2K. Worth every penny.

Nope. Just playing for recreation, really. Though its been a big part of my life, I'd rather keep it separate from a career. Although occasionally playing in an orchestra here or there might be nice...! :]

I want to teach music at a college.

I played in a professional orchestra last year, as a guest musician. It was amazing! And I got paid.

This one is specifically aimed at musicians, but others are welcome to answer.

What is your dream instrument. The instrument you just drool over like a poor kid looking at the sweets at the candy store. I'm a guitarist, and one I would love to have is this Les Paul Black Beauty (although I would probably change pickups to something like an EMG 81, an 85, and a Seymour Duncan). Mostly cause I love Les Paul guitars, but also cause I love the colous and the triple Humbucker feature. It looks simply great.

Or maybe this little beauty. Sure, it ain't Gibson, but it's got 24 frets and two EMG's.
awww the top was is really amazing but mine would be

You'll notice the demon schoolboy on the headstock .Ohhh yeah,Angus Young Gibson Sg custom in cherry red.

awwwwwww......

Ah, lucky! Sounds like an amazing opportunity. :) Good luck with becoming a teacher though!
