I'm going to be different!

Are you sure you meant $3000?
Because that's a lot for a clarinet.
Yep. Well, $2970. It's very high quality, should last me a lifetime. My pride and joy. I go to a school for the performing arts and got it as a present from my parents, and I plan on continuing to play for a while yet.
That's great. Are you planning to make a career out of it?
Nope. Just playing for recreation, really. Though its been a big part of my life, I'd rather keep it separate from a career. Although occasionally playing in an orchestra here or there might be nice...! :]
I want to teach music at a college.

I played in a professional orchestra last year, as a guest musician. It was amazing! And I got paid.
Ah, lucky! Sounds like an amazing opportunity. :) Good luck with becoming a teacher though!
It was great. I was surprised I got asked, though, because I play saxophone...
Thanks you, you have good luck in whatever you want to do too!

Man.. There are so many basses I want.. But I'll tone it down to 4.

Marcus Miller sig bass. As much as I dislike Sig basses, I can't deny how amazing this one is. Plus the maple neck and block inlays looks so awesome!

Warwick's and aussie prog go together like two things that go together really well.

After experimenting with a C string on my current bass I've come to love the high range for melodies and chords. Unfortunetly it isn't that practical in a band setting. So I'll get a six and do all my solo stuff on that =)

C'mon.. That things a beast!

I've already got my dream instrument [http://www.ableton.com/].

I'm not sure if you'd say I'm good at it -- I certainly didn't put a whole lot of practice into it -- but I've produced some things [http://dsob.wordpress.com/category/original-music/] I enjoy a lot.
I'd love to have the patience to be able to get into that... I'm just a dime a dozen guitarist right now, but being able to compose in Ableton would be awesome.

Why would anyone want to play that? If you want to play a valve instramnet with the trombones range, go baritone or euphonium. The best thing about the trombone is the fact you get some exercise when playing.

Gorgeous Basses
The bass player in my band has the 5 string LTD. It's an amazing bass.

OT: I already own my dream instrument. A Gibson Les Paul Custom. So beautiful.
