My most memorable dream was one from high school. It was a senior skip day, so I decided the night before to skip school for the first time. I woke up at 6:30am and briefly considered running out to catch the bus, which would show up around then, but I went back to sleep. And then, out of nowhere, I was in my first-period calculus class. Had I blacked out? Had I actually run to the bus to get to school? Or was I dreaming? Everything seemed very detailed, so I wasn't sure. I thought I was probably dreaming, but I figured it would be a good idea not to risk it. The bell rang, and I headed off to my music history class. I considered just knocking people over in the hall, since it was probably a dream, but I decided to play it safe. I went to the bathroom and started peeing in one of the stalls, only to realize (oh dream cliche!) that I was in the boys' bathroom. And then I wondered how exactly I could see that it was the boys' bathroom when I was in the stall, and then I realized that the stall didn't actually have a door. I finished peeing and booked it out of there. I went to music class, and the art teacher was teaching it instead. And then I woke up.
Not really a weird dream, but really disorienting. And it made me think about how I would react to a dream-like situation in real life. I'm kind of glad that I didn't assume it was a dream. I want to be open-minded if weird things start happening in the real world.
