I don't see the problem in this. In my old school plenty underage kids were smokers and drug abusers/drinkers. You'll have nothing to fear from these tests. Such tests are necessary in Adult life at times depending on where you work.

If a kid can't go on a school trip because he was found to be smoking weed, then that's the kid's problem for smoking it on a School day.

some one on my soccer team did drugs a little when he was on the team did a little bit of drugs, but when he got kicked off he became a major stoner

if they are not on the team then there is more time for them to do drugs

Drug testing in schools wouldn't make a difference for anyone doing extra curricular stuff, I mean, first thing on monday, yeah maybe half the teams in schools would be disbanded, but how long does it take for alcohol to be completely out of your system?

What the hell is the point in drug tests? You know what theyre gonna find (if anything)? Pot. And thats it. They wont find anyone whose doing an actual dangerous drug cause theyre out of system in a few days while weed can stay in your system for nearly a month. So what kind of message does that send to students? If you dont want to get caught doing drugs, dont do weed, do the harder drugs.

Its a load of grade A bat guano.

Not that drug tests will stop most people from smoking cause theyre easy to cheat.

If it's for sports teams, then it might not be JUST to catch weed and coke users, it might also be to crack down on steroids, a single confirmed steroid user can probably get an entire team disqualified if the tournament does it's own testing, this will just get it out of the way and will serve a preventative purpose.

Drug testing at schools makes a lot of sense if you're the kind of spiteful person who hates people that don't obey every legislative encroachment on self-regarding personal decisions. What marijuana has to do with being on the baseball team is anybody's guess. I suppose a lot of people are comfortable with schools helping to make sure personal and parental authority is as weak as possible.
