I disagree...SirBryghtside said:Why's it bad because of that? Wheatley's a Moron, and GlaDOS is psychotic. Making bad decision fitted their characters.

Rowling randomly declaring Dumbledore as gay. I have nothing wrong with gay people, but that made no sense.
Stop the presses.
And not that he said he never had a relationship with a woman, but rather, nothing ever indicated that he had.
And finally, if you never got a sense that he might have fallen in love with one of his male friends before, then perhaps you should read more carefully. As Rowling saw it, Dumbledore had fallen in love with Grindelwald, adding to the horror of what he eventually became, and the depth of their relationship.
I just don't understand how a character that has never been alluded to being one sexuality or the other or expressed a love interest in any female can seem "wrong" to be gay. I don't know what you mean by "it made no sense". What does a character have to do for it to be okay for them to be gay? Have rainbows shoot out their eyes, cross dress and speak in a high pitched camp voice about fashion trends?
Geez.
Not that he would have to say it, the book's narrative could have translated that he had a pass relationship with a woman, which was my point, not that he said it.warrcry13 said:You are trying to make me out to be the ass. Not saying you are either. No I just never got a gay vibe from him. An old guy usually doesn't go around talking to teenagers saying hey dude you see that ***** I wore her out. I always saw him as seeing Grindelwald as a brother not a lover. Though hey it can be seen both ways sure I suppose.
This also being from a guy who hunted as part of his living on a regular basis not too long before this.binnsyboy said:Oh, and in Eragon:
Eragon is flying on dragon back and notices Brom is being chased by Urgals. He lands between them, and tries to throw all the Urgals with telekinetic magic instead of killing them. All because of some "I hate killing" thing. There's making a deep character with inner-conflicts about what he has to do, and then there's just making a transparent ninny.
I'm not exactly sure what the gay vibe is, but I get them from characters and people sometimes. Whether it be a book a videogame character or a real person. Dumbledore didn't give me one. People say Sam and Frodo from the lotr movies were mega gay to them I didn't see it. I'm not able to think of one right now, that did make me feel a gay vibe. Maybe it was just how I develop the character in my mind. I don't know.Thespian said:Not that he would have to say it, the book's narrative could have translated that he had a pass relationship with a woman, which was my point, not that he said it.warrcry13 said:You are trying to make me out to be the ass. But dude, my point is, what's a "Gay Vibe"? Did you get a "Straight Vibe" from him? I know heterosexuality is more common, but why is it default? Why does a character have to be gay enough to give a "vibe" in order to be gay?
It just sounds like you think gay people act totally different. /Shrug
Sorry if I came out too belligerent. Didn't intend to imply anything negative about your character.
