When my sister was younger she asked the following question:

"If you touch the wall do you die?"

Yeah, she was 5, but it's still the most retarded thing I've ever heard.

"I can't find something.
"Where was the last place you had it?"

Well if I knew that...

Well, it wasn't asked to me personally, but the dumbest question I ever heard asked was back in high school. There was this kid in my World History class, who, well, let me put it this way, he once actually ate miracle grow because he thought it'd make him grow faster.

Anyways, one day we're talking about Oligarchy in class, the form of government. This kid hears the word "oligarchy," raises his hands, and asks "oligarchy, is that where they got Olive Garden from?" Oh, it was priceless. The teacher even put it up on the board.

Anything one of my coworkers asks me. God help me she's an idiot.

At one point, she asked me how many pumps of vanilla go into a caramel macchiato. Seven times in one day. And she's been working there long enough that she should have this MEMORIZED.

I was asked "Did the bus come" while waiting for the bus.

If it came, would I still be standing here?

I work at a theatre and one day a girl walked by. She asked me where a movie was, and it was in 2d, where we also had a 3d one. I told her, then said as a joke to make sure she had her 2d glasses. She looked at me with a seriously puzzled look and said "Where do i get those?"

She was sixteen. and not blonde.

Maybe she was playing a game or something? When I was 5 if you stepped on the red linoleum at the grocery store you would die a terrible death in a pit of lava (in my imagination).

A girl in my history class asked me, after half an hour of talking about this very incident, "So, is Anne Boleyn dead yet?" We had just spent the entire class discussing that. And even if she hadn't been beheaded, she'd bloody well be dead by 2008. Maybe it's because I'm really into Tudor history, but I seriously wanted to throttle her.

My eight year old brother also asks a lot of silly questions, but then he's a curious kid. However I draw the line at answering a question that goes, "Is Lady Gaga a she-male?"

I definitely would have taken the bus. No reason not to. I chat with them all day at school, all I want to do is get home.

Sigh...Here I am, in the state known as the stpidity capital of the country, in a country known for being the stupidity capital of the world, and no matter how hard I look, I can't for the life of me find any stupid people. I can find inarticulate people, lazy people, greey people, and functionally illiterate people, but I just can't find all the stupid people. Maybe they all ran into the ocean one day...

ALSO: Seriously, OP? Seriously? Someone asked you that? That's just...that's just sad, is what it is.
