Dumbest Reason(s) for Hating a Game?

My friends doesn't like "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" solely for the reason that the Word "Twilight" is in it.

Honestly, the book series fouled me on anything with the word "Twilight" in it.

"It's 8-bit and therefore sucks in every way" about Megaman 9.

Ahh, apologies, should have clarified there, the two complaints came from people who are very adaptable at play styles, and once they finally tried the games in question (Advance Wars and Rise of Nations), they did end up changing their minds, just the initial hatred was caused by the two being turn-based or non turn-based.

Bad graphics, it's popular so it must suck, slow moving.

My excuse for not liking turn-based games is "Why the hell do I have to stand in a line? Can't I just attack them?"

I'd say the only justification for 'slow moving' is Resi 5. Fuck that game was fun, but there were so many thing that were fucked about it that made me hate it, chief among the reasons was 'slow moving'.

I actually meant pacing, like the beginning of Half-Life or the car ride towards the beginning of CoD 4. Some people just have no patience.

Now, slow moving like you're talking about is perfectly legitimate, and some games have really bad pacing.

lol fair enough. Speaking of things like, say, the sniper mission in CoD4, that's an important part of pacing called juxtposition, without wich you get a really fast paced, generally overwhelming game, or Black Ops.

As for RE5, that's just shit game design.

Actually, it CAN be bad if the story is ... "intrusive". As in: Severely gets in the way of the gameplay.

From now on I'm not giving any specific reasons why I dislike a game. I'll just say my avatar doesn't like it for whatever reason. And it's none of my business.

I portal you perform cubeicide. what other game allows you to kill your own companion cube? the game is disgusting. i still have nightmares over it. night mares where im the companion cube being droped into the fire.

OT: i only hate games for good reasons like settlers being stupid game where its really just the illusion of control

No, its the part right after you leave the aircraft carrier and have to go in that water treatment plant to activate it and find out where the guys fater went... I keep getting killed by the mutants

Oh that bit, which the science team outside and such, yeah I remember that bit, I recommend if your getting owned by super mutants that you upgrade your equipment, which has probably been said to you before. Also there are auto-turrets in the first room in the building if I remember correctly. if your stats or wallet seem to be lacking go randomly shoot crap in the wasteland for a while your sure to get exp and caps.
