<spoiler=Summary>You are a Powerful lord of a Dungeon! To be more exact, you serve a lord of a dungeon (minions view you know?). Create your Fiend/Tribe/Summon/etc. and try to create the best dungeon in the world is the basic idea. Set in a land of magic and early steam punk you'll be put against odd facing "Heroes" and others in an effort of EVIL (though there really isn't an actual idea of good or evil an- oh you get the idea).
So basically I was wondering why an rp like this never popped up in general and a friend of mine who liked this kind of Theme of a story (as do I) said I should write one out as a big explanation for an Rp to use a template of sorts, I agreed and so this came in to plans. Inspired by popular fiction and numerous other things, I thank them all
<spoiler=The Dark Lord>Your mighty Dark Lord! Is pathetic really, he is an alchemist and a summoner and is good at creation and forming things with his power, sadly he isn't so great at fighting and the whole Dungeon set up. Recently he decided to hire out of his own Lair for new talent and people.
If your wondering why he is "Dark" or "Evil" you'll just have to read his history, or it might be a mystery.
<spoiler=Setting>The land you are in is a mix of medieval fantasy with magic and knights, and mild steam punk and other contraptions in play. Nothing complicated and gun powder is very crude and yet to become main stream and in lethal measured use, bombs on the other hand yes.
As for the next lair location, you the people will get to vote/suggest a lair, and if no clear consensus can be made I choose.
<spoiler=Your Character/Tribe/Summon> Now this is a bit more difficult considering, but I'll do my best to explain, you have the choice of the following three classifications.
-a Character a single or very few amount of people that are basically like any rp person in general (A living creature)
-a Tribe, or group of people that work under and for the Dark Lord and live in or near the Dungeon in a set up home, this can include multiple people and is very open, the only bad part is the fact of your power level can't be high on the rung of the universe. (living creature)
-a Summon-Demon, elemental, this to is varying in degree but goes towards the undead (summoned, not a ghost/spirit of any sort), and spirits. Depending on your preference this can be single, a few, or an entire group of beings brought to the land.

Human-Obvious and average
Troll-Nearly any and every variation out there is allowed more or less, big or small, some smart or not at all

Goblin/Goblins-Same as a Troll in variation, but less smart in most creations
Beast men/women-Werewolves and other things included, this includes fish people, wolf people, tiger people even, you name it.

Spirits-These are Technically Summons, but can branch off to nature, or slide in to darkness, or rise up to light.

Personality-Varies greatly due to the fact they are multiple and quite insane, each is an aspect of his/her self and while, anger, sadness, creativity you name it.
Sexuality-More confusing then a Troll's idea (Homestuck reference, it has me hooked), with so many renditions and ideas they tend to jumble and mix, he/she does indeed have kids...
Political-Hates "Heroes" and feels misunderstood in the core of things, and yearns for safety with vast comfort as well ergo a Dungeon to rule in, along with a great deal of other things.
Strengths/Skills-A Very powerful Mage and Alchemist in a sense of creation and formation of different enchantments, spells, potions and other things he/she can easily draw forth items and tools from a null space in a sense.
Despite this surprisingly fragile while in Human appearance, can morph in to a stronger form of a giant Shade like Abomination.
Psychic or other forms of control and trickery are next to impossible to occur with the fact that he/she is so split.
In explanation, he/she is so damn old that he/she can't remember his/her original gender. Some time ago when he/she was rising to fame and fortune (I'm just going to refer to it as a him) he decided to split his aspects of humanity and general emotions and aspects apart, bad idea. He can technically exist in many forms and is immortal in the sense that killing an Aspect results in it returning to the nearest shape, to kill him/her would mean a series of mini-boss battles leading to one great big one in a game sense.
They have a very loose sense of communication and can exist without any real defined limits in distance and life actions, thought seeing 5 of them work in one room is like a tornado just ate a Costco.
Weakness/lacking-Easily diverted and split he/she has bad skills in fighting with the nature that his aspects good and bad are easily exploited or guess out by heroes and this usually leads to his/her downfall.
Power is split between aspects and some gain better control of some then others.
Equipment-N/A on person, but usually has a null space linked to a lab or storage room set up within the dungeon in his main chamber and ante chamber.
History-The Dark Lord is mysterious for certain, but lets shed some light on him/her, born long ago (not sure how long) he went through a moment of creation, divination, and information with science and magic working hand in hand through common forms. Sadly this led to the Split of his aspects and would lead to evil actions as his aspects turned to a darker nature.
He would later become the Dark Lord through the fact heroes wanted his creations and experiments for wealth, to plunder secrets deep, this caused him to make a keep and hire or summon up minions to man it or help keep it under lock and key, usually of the commonly frowned upon by decent "Society".
While very powerful he still failed in managing a generic dungeon and recently has branched out his hiring range and quota with loyal minions at hand, be begins the search for a new Dungeon.
<spoiler=Dark Lord's Many Persons>I'll keep this here as a list of all the ruddy Aspects branched off from the Dark Lord at any given time.
The Scientist-Bald and blue eyed, this aspect his mostly centered in science, theory, magic, and creation, kept in the background and mostly used in keeping potions and summons up and running and in stock for other aspect and their use. Is neutral and a bit of a coward, nervous, but has a state of mind with such zeal to the arts. Speaks quietly, calmly and rarely looks anyone in the eye except for science/research!
The Leader-Spiked black hair and dark yellow eyes, this aspect is centered in relationships, social interaction, being a leader, and teleportaion/transportation and management. good nature and positive attitude as an Evil lord with the flair for dramatic and show, he is considered the Face of Evil. Specialized in a form of rapid teleportation for numerous weapons and equipment along with mild telekinesis and magically moved objects. Speaks confidentially and well mannered. Associated with earth, and is good at transforming and Terra-forming for buildings.
The Witch-Blood red hair (is white but she dyes it with blood brew), and white eyes like a blind person, she is mostly associated with pain, gain, and love, her explanation is the fact of child birth and how women are associated with it more in aspects rather then men. A Masochist, Sadist, and a bunch of other sinful sights of searing scorn, she is chief assassin, torturer, Minion Relations, a cool curse when it comes to negotiation like a lawyer, she is considered to be the most "Evil" for real in any aspect.
The Silent-Locked in a box and then a cage, enchanted three times over by seven with wisdom of a sage, kept from the sun yet never in shade, he is considered the two sided blade. Safe and secret it is the heart, the first aspect to die and the first to live at the start. Innocence kept away in case all else die one day, never opens its eyes or has a word to say, kept from time and decay.
This aspect is the most guarded and kept hidden of any aspect and is an emergency storage when aspects are killed and is the last one remaining. There are more that can be split and are easily determined on sight and most have a rule of stating what or who they represent in any case (some more willing then others) through a title.
Please note for background of the world development it includes the entire worlds culture and people in some for or manner, this way you can even have things foreign to European myth and other things. For another matter playing the Anti-Hero, or even creating an actual hero to oppose the dungeon may come in to play later...
