This thread reminded me Im supposed to be building a monk for the game on Sunday :p

Im lucky, at uni, weird people seem to congregate at uni so we have a few RP's going on at any given time. Not always D&D.

i play on a regular basis from a group here on the escapist.

I have a lvl 4 warforged assassin.
You know what sucks? Since this is a website, we can't hand out pamphlets for the usergroup. All we can do is spam, which is looked down upon if I'm not mistaken...

I DM almost weekly and had a second group that I ran a Revenant Avenger (4e) but classes and scheduling conflicts have put that one on hiatus.

I don't play nearly as often as I would like but we usually play about twice a month. I'm always a paladin because I like to be a strong character with lots of HP and able to deal a good amount of damage. I no longer play with a deity who is premade. I made my own because one time I pissed off Kord and he took away all my powers. All I did was scalp a halfling who was robbing us, I failed my athletics check and fell on him.

Also, am I tho only one who hates halflings or is this pretty much universal?

I would like to. Sadly when me and my friends tried to start up a campaign it fell apart - just like every other campaign for any game we've tried to set up (I still have my Orlock gangers only half painted).

And what's this talk about a RP group here at the Escapist? Do you guys play online? I'd be interested in joining up if its possible for me to play some games.

We do. We're open to any pen and paper game. We are also in need of DM's.

Yeah, I'd like to play, even though I don't know the rules, or people to play with. So, could you please help a person in need? please.

I used to play it with a group of friends, but things started popping up that took me away from it. After a while, I was so often unable to play that they decided it would be for the best to stop calling on days they were playing. Honestly though, I haven't talked to any of them but one since school started. I do enjoy D&D, even though it may seem like I don't care because I keep forgetting the rules. It's fun to see just how far you can push the GM... I mean, how many crazy situations you can get out of before it's time to roll a new character.

When do you guys have games? And exactly how do you play online? Text? Video? And should I be directing my questions to someone else? (Don't want to swamp you with my curiousity.)

I just got into it, my friends and I play every Friday. So far I have a lvl 3 Dragonborn Paladin who worships Bahamut for our regular campaign and a lvl 1 Half-Elf Battlemind for an ongoing mini-campaign

It's mostly a way to get people together who want to play. So most of those questions are answered by the group you go with. Our group, for example, uses ventrillo and a program called maptools to play Thursdays. But it's whatever your group decides to do.

I was lucky to hook up with a gaming group after 15 years of no gaming. I now play a 4e dwarf fighter with no sense of tactics. Good fun!

I've got the Red box so I can DM with my guinea pigs-ER FRIENDS! I mean friends! yah... honest!

A friend of mine found someone looking for a group, but The Spoony One advised that anonymous groups have that awkward feel and I agree. I want to play with my friends first.
