That would create a roster of over 300 completely unique characters! If you want to have something like that so badly go buy DW7: Empires when it's released. It allows you to make edit characters and replace the actual generic officers in the game with them.

Oooooooooh.... Daddy want...

When is this game coming out now...?

February 22nd in Europe and February 26th in North America, however, the North American release is a download only.

On a brighter note, Huang Gai's Iron Boat/Arm Blade weapon was released as DLC for Dynasty Warriors 7 and it's an awesome weapon. It's very overpowered and unbelievably silly, but it's a lot of fun if you don't mind being able to instantly kill 30+ peons and officers by surfing on a magically conjured wave.
So it's a melee version of Sun Shang Jiang's bow from DW6?
Not really.

It's a heavy weapon and all of it's normal attacks are melee hits, but most of it's charge attacks conjure a magical wave of water that you surf on in some manner. It doesn't really fire projectiles... well the wave is solid wall of magical, unblockable projectile with a impressive range, but since you ride the projectile and travel with it, it's not really comparable to the bow (which also still exists). It's 6th charge attack is actually comparable to, and even more powerful than some character's Musou attacks from earlier games.

It's very unique and some people hate it for being silly and overpowered, but others love it for being awesome. It's a great weapon for grinding when your character is already overpowered and you just want grind a stage as quickly or with as much fun as possible.

What I was referring to was that that bow was easily the most OP weapon in the game, since the basic attacks fired arrows in at least a 60 degree arc in front, along with all the special attacks that made enemies die faster than a combo bubonic plague/E. Coli infection on steroids. Are the charge attacks anywhere near as broken as Lu Bu's grab from 4?

That's too complicated for the series I play to kick all of China's collective ass and laugh like a moron when I kill 8 enemies with one swing of an oversized weapon. :p
Hence the beauty of KuF; you get to still do the buttkicking, you still to hack to pieces any fool soldiers that dare challenge you. Heck, if you play the ogre king in Heroes you basically are King Kong pummeling and flinging soldiers like toys! But again, with KuF, you get a lot more control over your own side and get the added experience of seeing them kick ass aside you thanks to your actions.
First, you quoted the wrong person with that, but eh. While the morale system that DW uses is slightly terrible if it goes too low (one time in 4 I couldn't go more than 20 feet from Sun Jian without needing to worry about his unit), it has enough relation to my actions to make me happy. :p

Actually, now that I remember what KuF stands for, I played the first game for a while. It was alright, but it was too RTS-y for my tastes, when what I wanted was an RPG. :/

Dynasty Warriors 2 was where the franchise peaked. And that experience peaked at about the 30 minute mark. It's all been repetitive slog from there.
You know what? us Dynasty warriors fans have heard this a million times already and we won't disagree. But we also won't care! I'm not disrespecting you in ANY way, but that's just how it is. Here's to 8!

First though I think they will release dynasty warriors 7 empires as a digital download on ps3 though.

I have neither heard that before, nor would I agree, personally.

Someone else actually played WG2?! I'm not so alone anymore!

Warship Gunner actually improved over Naval Ops, though; the graphics and combat flowed much much smoother, the building was less cantankerous as well. Granted, WG2 pretty much made gun heavy battleships the easiest thing in the world to win with, which saddened me...

I thought WG2 was LOADS better then the other 'Navel Ops' series.
I'm finding more and more people that have played this, which is excellent!

The mission play is similar, You in your single ship vs. an entire naval fleet or more, as opposed to the Warriors games being You vs an entire army or more, and tactics at times coming down to who can spam attacks better. That said, I F***ing love Warship Gunner 2! I've played Naval Ops:WG and it was decent, but you could see which one was clearly better (WG2), I can't speak on Naval Ops:Commander though.
