God of War looks fucking great, don't know how to feel about Spider-Man though. The combat looks pretty derivative of Arkham and a lot of cutscene quick-time events. Also nothing new from Sucker Punch yet again.

Overall not the most exciting showing. Kinda went over everything we already knew, and not even any on-stage demos.

That was a terrible E3...

But at least we get Shadow of the Colossus...

That's a problem in some superhero works when They think being hit with a giant metal beam would render you "unconscious" Still not as bad as Arkham knight in that Regard. I'll give the trailer credit at least, Spiderman actually gave a shit about the collateral damage that was being caused and tried to minimize it the best he could, Which a lot of superhero works don't even attempt.

This is been a very underwhelming E3 it's sad that one of the better new announcements was that Mario x rabbit game, At least that one was a surprise.

Oh right, there was Monster Hunter World too, that actually looked pretty cool.

Sony phoning it in though with this conference. It bares repeating.

Funny, when Hatred tried to do the same thing, people kept trying to get it banned.
Yeah. Easily ruffled, pearl clutching sensitives doing the exact same thing you appear to be unironically doing right now.

Hatred also had the double whammy of looking like a complete piece of controversy baiting trash, so everyone was lining up to take runs at it.
To be fair, given the rise in violence against people on the right lately, having somebody talk about how much they'd enjoy murdering them in a video game is a little eye-brow raising.

But, you're right. It's probably just somebody being edgy and immature.

What is up with the surprising amount of bears we have been seeing this conference?
Also boats.
Lots and lots of boats.

Well, E3 is officially over for me and what a big sweaty ballsack of disappointment it was. I can't believe Sony didn't show off TLOU 2 or Death Stranding. Days Gone is a zombie game that probably does zombies better than most, but I hate zombies. Horizon and Uncharted got DLC... yay? (Although I am interested in The Lost Legacy). Destiny 2 is Destiny 2. Spoderman was okay. I was kinda shocked at how similar it is to the Activision TASM games. It does look a lot better, but it also doesn't look fresh. Been awhile since I've seen someone show off quicktime events like its something amazing. Shadow of Colossus remake looks okay, never got to play the original so I'm okay with this. Detroit Something looks incredibly meh.

Oh well. I have literally one game that I'm actually excited for, and it's kinda sad that that one game is SWBF17.

I take back everything bad I said about Payday 2 selling out to mobile/console/VR/toaster because after two E3s in a row being reminded of Skyrim has soured that game's title in my ears.

So... Shadow of the Colossus remake is a thing. Don't know how to feel about that. It looks nice and fancy, but it's not done by Team Ico. I like Blue Point, they do a great job at remasters, but a remake..?
I do hope they add the colossi that were cut from the original

Yeah, no real surprises this time around. But this year has been unusually good, so you can't expect every E3 to be exceptional. I suppose we're in a bit of a lull until more material gets released.

It's going to be a visual reskin, that's it. Beyond that we might see some animation tweaks (Wander's new walk cycle is slightly different) and a camera fix, but nothing more than that. And it's probably for the best. They probably shouldn't be fucking around with anything that made the game what it was. Heck, I was already kinda upset over the change in the title font.

Even the visual upgrade, while certainly snazzy looking, has a sense of not feeling quite right. The sketchy textures of the original (Christ, I can't believe I'd ever have to refer to it as that) added to the mysterious, haunting atmosphere. And if they even dare to touch the sound/voice track in any way things are gonna get fucking ugly.

I don't know if this is going to be the new thing to do though; complete graphical reskins of older games. We already had Crash, and I guess that wasn't just a cute little one-off.

So...I guess we'll wait until...Gamescom...for The Last of Us 2? Also kinda disappointed they didn't show more of God of War besides another (mostly) story-based trailer. I suppose there's still a lot of time left and I'd rather be (hopefully) surprised anyways.

Not wishing to wade through vids that are anywhere from 1 to 10 hours long, I've been looking around the coverage so far.

Correct me if I'm wrong:

Horizon is getting free Banuk DLC.

Bethesda announced nothing of interest aside from the Creator's Club which most people are pissed about due to a lack of info.

Fromsoftware has has zero announcements.

There is a Shadow of the Colossus remake coming that will likely offer no new content so its more of a remaster (again).

And Nintendo will probably have nothing of interest to show, and even if they do have a new Metroid to show its not like anyone can actually buy a Switch from anywhere other than scalpers...

Ubisoft's conference was actually pretty good methinks (aside from whatever the fuck that Mario/Rabbids game was). The pre-rendered trailer of Beyond Good and Evil 2 didn't actually do that much for me, but at least we know that the game is still coming along (now where's that new Rayman Ubi?). The Crew 2 seems far more interesting than most driving sandbox games, Skull 'n' Bones looks like AC4 without the boring AC bits (good) and Starlink looks...interesting. Not sure about the whole "attaching toy to your controller" part.

Sony (unsurprisingly) didn't really have anything new. That's what happens when you decide to blow your load at one conference. You end up with nothing to show at the next one. Spider-Man, Uncharted: TLL and the SotC remake look good, I'll give them that. Oh, and Undertale on consoles...yay? And more PSVR shit.

So, in other words, apparently pigs do fly because MS and Ubi have had the best showings so far, while Bethesda and Sony have easily had the worst.

[EDIT]: That Devolver Digital sketch was genius. Just felt like throwing it out there.

Leave E3 to me.

Don't get your hopes up. This is Nintendo we're talking about, the company whose marketing strategy was most charitably described as "aggressively ignoring everything players want".

Also, you can shrink images if they're too big.

This E3 was certainly disappointing. Sony line-up also sucks. At first I was surprised there were no leaks but now I know it's simply b/c the big publishers had nothing to show. The Evil Within 2 looks cool but that's about it for me. E3 is getting lamer with every passing year(the cringe level of those press conferences has become unbearable) and I guess in the digital age trade shows no longer have the pull they once had. Though I guess it's still better than showing games they are either never going to release or not within the coming 10 years.

So Spiderman PS4

+Webslinging looks pretty good, its a little slower compared to Spiderman 2 but I'm fine with it.
+ We're actually getting a different villain and while I don't know much about Mr Negative he does seem like an interesting antagonist
-The QTEs are annoying as all hell
-The combat and stealth feels too much like the Arkham games, I was hoping for some combos that use different buttons but so far I'm not impressed.

So I'm very mixed about the game, I still have hope for the game but so far "meh"
