The only way a trilogy would ever come out is if it were on XBOX 360 or it were licensed by Microsoft since they own all rights to the first game. The Great JT said:Okay this? This is when it's okay to release the "Mass Effect: The Trilogy" collection. If they can, maybe they can bundle up a Wii U port of Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, all the DLC of the first two and maybe some console-exclusive stuff and charge $125 USD for it.John Funk said:The big surprise, of course, was Mass Effect 3. Shepard can finish the fight against the Reapers on the Wii U, too. One can't help but wonder how they'll handle the decisions made in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.
Way to ignore 90% of the games.Scrumpmonkey said:Ports of previous generation games? Again Nintendo? AGAIN? How is anyone supposed to get excited about this?
"Hey guys! Buy this rather expensive, unestablished new console with an unproven propriety control control scheme. Why should you buy it? Well some of those games that are available right now for post launch prices might be coming to this new console at some undefined time in the future! Remember folks, these games are only available everywhere else for much cheaper and probably on a console you already own.
And as an added bonus the controls will possibly be badly ported to a controller the size of your house- no wait! Where are you going?! "
Wii-U; For those who can't find a hole big enough to throw their money into.
The big barrier getting in the way of that is Microsoft, who published and still have the rights to the first game rather than EA in the case of the last 2. If they haven't agreed to release ME1 on PS3 after all this time I don't see them being any more co-operative with Nintendo either. The Great JT said:Okay this? You're in luck. Scribblenauts Unlimited has been confirmed for the Wii U, and one of the things you can do is design your own items to use. Like an auto mutt, a cross between a dog and a car.piinyouri said:Tell you what Nintendo.
You make a console version of Scribblenauts and allow it to work with that Pro Gamepad thing of yours and I might buy a Wii U in the future.
As I remember reading, the pro gamepad, the one that looks like a 360 controller will work with every game correct?blizzaradragon said:You're in luck. I believe so, although I can't find something that says that it's 100% true it will work with every game. Only ones I can really see it not working for would be anything that absolutely requires the touch pad, seeing as the pro gamepad has the exact same button layout as the tablet. I'd keep your eyes and ears open just to make sure though.piinyouri said:As I remember reading, the pro gamepad, the one that looks like a 360 controller will work with every game correct?blizzaradragon said:You're in luck. I can say with reasonable confidence that it won't work for Scribblenauts, why would it? It would be a pain to use the keyboard to spawn things on the Pro controller. Just try playing any of the DS Scribblenauts games without using the touch pad.piinyouri said:As I remember reading, the pro gamepad, the one that looks like a 360 controller will work with every game correct?blizzaradragon said:You're in luck. This is true, but as someone who tried a non-import Shep in ME3 for giggles, I can safely say that the game is lacking by a remarkable amount.GloatingSwine said:Well yes, but then this is the game that takes a massive watery shit all over your story choices at the end, so do you really thing that matters to them?
Wow. Think of all the resources they wouldn't have to put in the game! A few more choices like that and you can cut down on the needed stuff by half!JeanLuc761 said:This is true, but as someone who tried a non-import Shep in ME3 for giggles, I can safely say that the game is lacking by a remarkable amount.
- No Wrex, Grunt, Zaeed, Kasumi, Jack, Thane, Samara, or Legion
Don't forget the batteries only last 3-5 hrs. That's our new patented PARENTAL CONTROL SCHEME!!Scrumpmonkey said:Ports of previous generation games? Again Nintendo? AGAIN? How is anyone supposed to get excited about this?

Seriously... do these people exist? Are there actually people who want to play Arkham City & Mass Effect 3, and have been waiting to pickup a WiiU... *snicker* to do it? I can barely say that with a straight face. HAHAHAAHAHAHHAHHA!!!BiH-Kira said:Those games are for people who haven't played it and want a WiiU.
If Toyota gave me the choice of buying a car with cheese wheels, one could argue they are giving me options. That's good, right??Also what's so bad about increasing the library of a console that isn't even out yet? Is having a choice really such a bad thing?
And I'm sick of hearing about the WiiU and how "awesome" it's going to be. It's cluttering up my RSS feed something fierce. Sometimes you just have to wipe away the tears and float on like a crazy asparagus.I'm sick of people crying "mommy, mommy, they are releasing a game that is already on another console".
Call me cynical, but I'll be surprised if these ports sell more than 500 copies each. I cannot think of ONE person who would be evenly remotely interested in buying old games on a WiiU. But then, I can't think of anyone who even wants a WiiU, so... yea. Also, don't forget that this is a new console and developer aren't sure about making a completely new game just for it (aside from the many who already confirmed new, multiplatform games on the release date). Developer are porting "older" games to see how well they will do on the WiiU. If it does well and makes a profit, they will try to make more of it. If not, they will support it less.
