Eek! A spooky ghost!

A simple enough question: who here believes in ghosts, and why? I am asking because after turning on the Discovery Channel, I was disappointed to find they were playing a show about a bunch of guys with digital cameras and emf meters running around an empty building, jumping at their own shadows.

Personally, no, I don't believe ghosts exist. I'm not saying it's impossible that they exist, I just don't think they do. My reasons for thinking this are simple: there isn't any credible evidence. Sure, you've got plenty of 'video proof' of poor quality videos that show a flickering shadow that vaguely looks like a person, but nothing even remotely solid.

Also, the way they use those EMF meters to supposedly prove that ghosts exist is bullcrap. I know from my brother, who has used those during a McGill University course, that these things are so sensitive they will light up for just about anything. You could accidentally point it a a light socket and it will go off.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, so what about all of yours? Are you a believer or not? For what reason? Do you think you've personally ever seen a ghost?

Yes I do believe. It's more of a spirit image but that's just me. That shadowy figure that creeps up from behind.

yeah i dont belive in ghosts, but i do likew watching them on Horror movies and all those things on the internets, some of them are actually quite good...

And i learnt something the other day from an absolute nutter about Ghosts, "If you have a lump in your throat, you know the one, Its a Ghost trying to use your Vocal Chords" It was quite radnom, yeah, shes a bit weird.

I'm open to the concept, but until there is conclusive proof or I see one myself, I can't say for certain that I believe in them. I also can't say I don't believe in them.

I believe in ghosts because, if they are real, then they'll have nothing to gain by scaring me, as I already believe in them. That's honestly my reasoning behind; I can't think up a good reason to believe in ghosts, but I can't really think up much of a reason not to either, so I decided that this was good enough.

I do believe in them, though. I don't see how in this day and age anyone couldn't. All you have to do is stick your head out the window to see them, just walking around like regular people. They don't see each other, of course; They only see what they want to see. They don't even know that they're dead, the big sillies!

I'm a huge skeptic, but I do believe there are somethings out there we just simply don't understand yet. Not that it's magic or ghosts or anything, just maybe, hell, I dunno, a weird type of energy that we just can't properly detect yet.

I dont believe they're "Fallen Spirits", Although my theory seems to be possibly cracks in space/time, or even thin walls in the universe.

We don't know where we go after we die so ghosts may just be spirits returning from the afterlife for a few brief moments. Who knows?
