Did I see a dragon there? Hopefully we can tame them and use them as mounts!
Reading the articles a little, it seems the dragons will be the antagonists in some form or another. That should make for some interesting conflict, seeing as the Empire (if it still stands) reveres dragons.

Let's just hope they do away with the level based encounter system of Oblivion =/
i agree.....HEY GRATZ YOU LEVELD YOU RUNNING...now the monsters are harder to kill...
but but...i ...WHAT DOES JUMPING AND RUNNING HAVE TO DO WITH COMBAT!!!! /rage

yeahhh that was annoying. level as a rogue. get stealth skill really high, then get riped to shreads because the monsters didnt waist there time sneaking around and just worked on hitting...and getting hit

Those pics seem nice.

I can't really say anything yet, though, because I didn't have a problem with Oblivion's graphics - I had a problem with it's bad animations. I hope they put more effort into those.

I also hope that they concentrate more on the depth of the world than in the size of the map. Oblivion was huge, but felt quite shallow to me.
Morrowind was bigger, and they probably did a better job with the atmosphere. Oblivion just felt very ... generic.

[sub]And I really hope that this game has more variety in environments than these screens show, because as a Finn, I see enough landscapes filled with snow each year. When I look out of my window there's a thick layer of snow over everything I see! I don't want to play a game filled with the stuff![/sub]
My hope as well, we get enough snow in Canada.

[sub]And why do those generic fantasy heroes never wear enough clothes in the cold? Don't they know about hypothermia over there?[/sub]
I think Ultima VII: Serpent Isle is the only game in memory that really made people wear appropriate amounts of clothing in the cold.

Morrowind was smaller, people, for the umpteenth time.

Oblivion was a great increase in gameworld size, although not in proportion with the greater size of the province of Cyrodiil, and must of it was repetitive landscape fluff and copy-pasted dungeons.

It felt smaller because of view distance, fast travel and the lack of rugged landscape barriers. Also, the center of the map was made up of plains, a lake and a city rather than a giant walled volcano that tried to kill you.

What's that skill to the right of enchanting? Smi-something? Smiting? Smithing?
could be. Forging weapons is mentioned in the article. I would assume that repair would be included with a forging skill.

Let me get this straight... You fight dragons but you are part one? Sounds like a Divinity II rip off. Way to reach a new low of plagiarism, Todd.
Divinity 2...which came out a year and 2 months ago. Skyrim, which has been in production for years, and Elder Scrolls lore which has been around for decades. Think before you post.
And you think divinity II was made in a second? It was released on November 20th, 2009. By that time bethesda just finished with Fallout 3 and were in pre-production for the elder scrolls.
How would you explain all the years of Elder Scrolls Lore? But no, of course Bethesda are a bunch of unoriginal, plagiarizing douchebags because you said so.
Well technically they are. They were bought out after morrowind and replaced with its current staff.
Are you insane? They still have the same staff, for the most part.

You're just one of those irrationally pissed-off Morrowind lovers.

It looks absolutely awesome. I've got such high hopes for this game.

Wait, It has level-scaling? Bye bye Skyrim.
Um, no there is no confirmed level scaling. There is quest scaling, so I expect if you take a quest at level 1 you will be fighting rats, but at level 30 you will be fighting daera.
No, they were replaced after morrowind. God forbid we have any depth in an RPG because we all know RPGs are corridor shooters. /sarcasm.
Can I have a source? Because I've never heard about this, even with all the info I know. Sounds like BS.
