I don't understand the argument of the groups proposing the Pepsi boycott. Is there something else that they advocate we should be doing with the cells? I mean, it's not like this research is causing more abortions to occur.

These people believe that life starts the moment the guy shoots off. They're completely against any form of stem cell research, because they believe it "destroys life."

That's just it, though. Stem cell research doesn't destroy life; the life has already been destroyed (if you take the pro-life position). Am I expecting too much in the way of rationality here?

Well, they also decry the "playing God" that it takes to create the stem cell lines in the first place, the evil cloning experiments that are happening that some Liberal president will some day make them donate DNA to and that it'll somehow lead to being able to program people in the womb. Any of those work better for ya?
