The last few scenes of "The Green MIle"

Huo Yuanjia's last fight in Fearless, my word, the music!

The hand operated mounted machine guns when used in The Last Samurai

That's all I can really think of for now.

The scene in Crash (the Paul Haggis drama, not that Cronenberg softcore trash) where Matt Damon's asshole racist cop frees Thandie Newton from her overturned SUV while it's leaking gas and about to go up in flames.
That film lost me half way through with its vomit enducing mawkishness and its annoyingly contrived plot.

I'm going for the scene in "Amelie" where the protagonist leads a blind man across the road.

I just finished watching Pan's Labyrinth for the first time a few minutes ago. Pretty much that whole movie had me emotional, especially the ending.

I don't know if it counts as 'opening', but the scene of the first Pirates of the Carribian, where you see Captain Sparrow on a mast, looking out over sea, and then he steps down and it's just a small rowboat with mast.

And the next scene, where he 'docks' is just too brilliant for words.

The opening sequence of Up.
i made the horrid joke of '400 babies!' during the clouds, and it went from hysterical to horrible in an instant.

Do you know where I can watch Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog? (Apart from YouTube, of course)

Every time Paul says something in Funny Games. That was emotionally moving, but in a different, pants-wetting way.

First bit of Saving Private Ryan

and, if I'm honest, RIGHT before the end of Monsters Inc, where Sully will never see Boo again. I actually cried (I was a bit younger, but it was still upsetting today)

THE MOST EMOTIONAL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN ON SCREEN though, would have to be the opening montage from Pixar's "Up".

Seriously, see it. I'm 16 and cynical, and it nearly made me bawl
This was possibly ruined by Movie Bob's review. I went into the film knowing the opening montage was meant to be emotional. I saw that there was a man living all alone in his house. So as soon as a girl appeared it was all suddenly utterly predictable sadly :(

I have several.

I am Legend: Sam, if you've seen it you'l know what i mean

Shaune of the Dead: In the pub, I was surprised by the depth of Simon Peggs acting

Star Wars Attack of the Clones: "It was just before dawn, they came out of nowhere"

The day after Tomorow: Ending

There are many more and I'm not ashamed to say that I was close to and sometimes past the point of tears during many of them.

Lots of bits have put tears in my eyes...

Starbuck and Apollo's boxing match in Battlestar Galctica, also their final scene in the series...

When Frodo sends Sam away in Return of the King.

The episode of next generation when Picard spends a lifetime on that planet after the probe scans him... Specifically the part where he finds the whistle and realises it was kind of real.

Also in TNG, when Geordie comes "back to life" and the crew are celebrating. When you see Data and realise he cannot feel or express the emotion, that really gets me... I think that was the moment Data wished he had emotions the most.

Hated, hated, hated that movie. The ending was terrible, the punk music was terrible, the fact that they were not only sociopathic baby-murderers but spoiled preppy assholes to boot was terrible, the worst 4th wall breaking ever was, well, terrible, the rewind scene was friggin' terrible.

I read that the director's purpose was to see if he could convince the audience to leave. Stupid me, I thought if I stuck around long enough there would be some dark-side-flirtation and the bad guys would get a shotgun blast to the head or something.

Edit: RavensNest, the boxing scene in BattleStar Galactica was better than most movie scenes. Sigh. Love that Katee Sackhoff.
