I just finished watching the last episode of Gantz, it's a great show but the ending really mind fucked me.

[HEADING=2]ONLY READ IF YOU HAVE SEEN EVERY EPISODE OF GANTZ. I FEEL OVER THE TOP AND STUPID FOR DOING THIS IN HUGE LETTERS BUT GANTZ IS A BRILLIANT SHOW AND I WOULD HATE TO RUIN THE ENDING FOR YOU.[/HEADING]
What the fuck happened to Kei, did he live or not, and whats with the fucking train speeding after the credits it makes no fucking sense argh. Can someone tell me what the hell happened, I never got a chance to read the manga so maybe there was something in there that made sense of it all.
So what endings have really annoyed the hell out of you, it can be anything from films to anime to games, anything.

If a thread similar to this has already been made feel free to ignore this one.

P.S. sorry about the massive letters just then I just really like Gantz and didn't want to ruin the ending. Wow I only realised just now how much of a bad fanboy I am.

The ending (or for that matter the entire game) of Lost: Via Domus...

So you escape the island, only to wake up after the plane crash, and the woman who you saw get killed - in a flashback - is alive and there with you

W.T.F?

And the end of the most recent Prince of Persia game:

You spend the entire game trying to stop the evil guy, and then the fucking "Prince" releases him again - negating everything you've just done, wasting hours of your life.

The end of the third Matrix film left me confused. And I'm someone who understood the grand picture behind the Pirates Of The Caribbean films.

Well, episode 25 and 26 of NGE were mind-fuck worthy, but then I watched End of Evangelion and it all made sense once more...

So Perfect Blue, because that ending made no fucking sense and those bastards put in way too happy a song for the credits. I mean, what the hell. Way too fast, major confusion, then happy ending music? Waaaaah!

I'm quoting you from the future! Oooooo!

That aside, the reason NGE ended so oddly is because Gainax ran out of money. EoE helps it to make so much more sense.

Hmmm, I've had a few,
O.K most recently the ending to Hanamaru Kindergarten, It would have been so epic of an ending to a silly show if not for That STUPID TEACHER! (tried to keep as spoiler free as possible)

Or the ending to Evangelion, It was such a good show to start off with but (sigh) It went "to the darkside"

Knowing (that movie with Nicholas Cage) had a very crappy ending. I won't spoil it for all of your though.

The Village (by M. Night Shaymalamading-dong) was also very stupid in its ending.

I thought it was pretty cool. I've never played Ico, but still...

Anytime something ends with "It was all a dream". That greatly angers me.

*Speaking with Morgan Freeman's narrator voice*

But just as Marter had said it, everything around him began to fade away. He did not know what happened, nor how to react. He simply stood there as the world around him disappeared.

Until suddenly, he woke up in his bed, dripping in sweat. The Escapist.. had all been a dream.

The ending to Ass 2.

Seriously, that ending suuuucks.
Not only did it suck, but it barely made any sense and the boss fight was the equivalent to a bar-room brawl with a fat guy.

A drunk fat guy in his 80s.

I don't care how awesome it sounds in theory, if it's not fun, then it's not awesome.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That means, all that time spent, all that effort wasted, all didn't happen.

...

Wait, that's good.

I have my freedom back! This is the beginning of a new life for me! No more wasted night posting on The Escapist!
