Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

"Hey! Thanks for saving all of our whiny asses so we could have our retarded little festival. We know you went through a lot. Solving puzzles, getting your butt kicked repeatedly. Solving a lot of people's problems and all. But... um.... you're not invited. In fact, if you were to stick around, it would really kinda ruin the whole thing, so.... gtfo.
What are you talking about? You can clearly see Link in his Zora form when the Zora band is performing. I never saw the "GTFO" part either.

the legendary ending for Halo 3. Ok, so it sets up a continuation of the story, fantastic...except that Bungie has done nothing with the concept and decided to focus exclusively on prequels. It's one thing to have a cliffhanger ending to then never be able to make a sequel, it's another to make the aforementioned cliffhanger and then simply ignore it.

Knowing (that movie with Nicholas Cage) had a very crappy ending. I won't spoil it for all of your though.

The Village (by M. Night Shaymalamading-dong) was also very stupid in its ending.
i agree with the fact that the knowing was an alright film to start with, but yeah, the ending was really crappy...

Fallout 3 without the Broken Steel DLC. That was about the most contrived, retarded way to end a game I've ever encountered.

Maybe it's just me in that, fundamentally, I don't buy into that whole "sacrifice is heroic" school of bullshit, but the my choices at that point should have included more than the martyr and coward options, and they shouldn't have had to release a DLC to fix it; it should have been common sense that that's simply not how you end a game.

Gah! "The Village" horrible, horrible ending. An extremely huge buzzkill on that one.

Borderlands.

Really Gearbox? All you had to do was make a room with gold props and hot women.

WAS IT THAT HARD?

I don't think that ending was a cliffhanger. It was just open. It's a fine distinction, sure, but considering they aren't planning to carry on that story arc anymore I don't think you can class it as a cliffhanger.
I actually quite liked it, it was a good way to have Masterchief 'die'. You couldn't actually kill him, that would go against eveything the character was supposed to be.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was a bit... odd but I could live with it. A weird ending to a weird series was kind of easy to predict.

As for pissing me off, Star Ocean: Till the end of time was for sure one of them. Dragon Age: Origins was another.

I'd start thinking of movies right now, but I am certain that that list would become a little... too long.

Edit:

Also, I agree with this. Big time.

Bionic Commando's ending
wife-possessed arm really pissed me off.
was fucking stupid. I can't find one single twist that is worse than this piece of turd. Even the twists in LOST are more credible than that ending.

Hell, even with the DLC the Good ending was a bit crap and the bad ending although kinda cool didn't really give any closure ( at least thts what i feel anyway)

I was quite excited to play out an epic adventure with my mates... And it was fun. Until it got to the end and the game spit in my face and refused to give practically no closure what so ever.
yep, it gets you all exited and hyped up throughout the whole story (if it can even be called a story) then it gives you one of the worst endings that I have ever seen in a video game so far. The game is good overall though

Ummm...

I recently read a Robin Hood book.
Someone slit his wrists at the end and left him to die.
Pretty lame if you ask me.
By the way, this is *not* based on the movie. It's a book from 1979.

The ending of Metro2033. Seriously might be the stupidest ending to a video game I've seen in years. Also Borderlands was a big let down, they probably did it that way for a sequel though..
