the ending of the film 人鬼情 is one that I always remember, along with Red Sorghum, a film whose final shots capture such a hauntingly stylized beauty in the midst of complete destruction that words don't really do it justice (it's also a film in which a man walks into a bar and is served an entire roasted ox head, which he eats).

All quite on the western front.

Also, F3's ending (Back before Broken Steel), most people hated it, but i walked into that pureifier, in my vault suit.

And died a hero.

I'd say The Wire has an ending that's stuck with me.

Everything stays the same, not very satisfying but kind of the whole point.

The ending to Berserk anime...Not that it was good, oh no...it's because they didn't show the rest of the Goddamn arc.

But the most recent ones?

G motherf*cking Gundam
Well, thats not exactly anyone's fault. The anime covered about 10 volumes of manga and theres been another 22 volumes since... and that arcs still going... and the author quit to play idol master... and keeps inviting other manga authors to his home to try and convince them to do the same...

Yea...

And goddamn gundam is retarded.
True...But this is the ONLY Gundam series I like and the reason I'm into Giant Robots series.

Gundam as a whole?

Full of whimpy punks.

This guy? Punt a freaking building in the sky...with his fist.

The Mist's ending just made me angry. -_- Ok, it was good and it brought on the exact emotion it needed to from the audience but damn, I hated it. Made me so mad.

For me, Shadow of the Colossus. Such a powerful and emotional ending. < 3

War of the Worlds (the Tom Cruse version). Because I hated it so.
The aliens just die all of a sudden because of bacteria

The film is pretty weird from the get go, but right at the end when they see the weird sentient creature... Then she gets dragged away into the dark. You get no closure never find out what the fuck everything is. Still bugs me =/
I liked the camera man beating the zombie to death with his camera. Best. Camera-man. Ever.
Tell me we get to see it from the camera's view, because that would be freakin' awesome.

The lost ending to Clerks (my favorite movie EVER).

Now, it's cursed, so watch at your own risk. I refuse to press play.

What's that? Don't believe the curse, do you? Well, after I finally saw this ending, my girlfriend cheated on me, my grandpa died and my car's engine cracked. All on the same day I watched it.

And it's not just me. All the friends I had watch it with me also had bad things happen, like a blowout on the way home for one friend, and a loss of a wallet for another.

Just sayin'. Don't blame me if you fall victim to it.

Yes, and it is glorious! He's literally hitting it with the camera lens. It may be on youtube. See it.

I'm pretty sure that was how all previous versions (movie, radio drama and book) ended.

Yeah it really was, kinda bizarre seeing it from the camera's point of view. I loved that film, also love Rec. and cloverfield which were by the same production company.

I wouldn't know. The Tom Cruse one is the only one I saw.

This gives me an idea. Sure, gunblades are far from an original idea, what's the bayonet, after all? But...

What about CamBlades? That might allow another decent/good first-person film to come out(Blair Witch Project, one of my endings), one in which the cameraman is the protagonist. Zombies, anyone? I'd say don't steal my idead, but heck, I probably won't use it, even if I do get into Hollywood filmmaking, lol (Probably not, but I'm sure as hell gonna try!).

other movies; The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (Avatar Pic), and, of course (surprised no one else's put this down yet), Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Really depressing books and movies stay with me. A few noteworthy games have had a large impact on me but they are few and far between. The only ending that haunted me for days was the final scenes in GTA4, the message in that game was really powerful and hit me like a sack of bricks.

The ending of In Bruges...
Where the character played by Collin Ferrel realizes he was in purgatory, just saw the man who tried to kill him blow own his fucking head off, and is about to die.
God, I fucking loved that movie.

Short movie? "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge." Great, great short film. It's about the American Civil War...made by French filmmakers.

Feature length movie? Inglourious Basterds

When that guy killed Shoshanna. I was blown away by that. I never expected her to die that way. I think all of the deaths in that movie really really surprised me

The ending of Paranormal Activity. The rest of the film was distinctly average, but that ending was great.

Oh, and the ending to the Green Mile, which made me cry.
