Those skeletons things with four arms in Morrowind. I forget their names.

Also, the creepers from Minecraft, scions from ME2, and Daedroths in Oblivion.

well is I can say a generic type I'd say the instant kill enemies like the chainsaw wielding guys in Resident Evil 4 or any cheap hack'n'slash enemy that if you have two guard buttons and use the wrong one you get a guard penalty and the enemy instantly hits you hard and with a vengeance (I'm looking at you Heavenly Sword and Golden Axe)

Definitely mirelurks from Fallout 3. You can not see them at night, and by the time you realize they are there, half of your health is gone.

Oh and packs of cougars in Red Dead redemption. Killable, but th yonly rely on surprise attacks.

This far in and no one's mentioned cliff racers? I thought every other post would be hating on them.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY!

Any non-human enemy in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, especially the Deathclaws. Why the fuck did they have to overrun Quarry Junction? Scions in Mass Effect 2 are a royal pain because of their shockwave attacks, and they always seem to pop up when Shepard is nipple-deep in husks or Collector drones. And don't even get me started on the damn cougars in Red Dead Redemption. I think I'd rather fight radscorpions while armed with nothing but a rolling pin. Them and the Stalkers in Dead Space 2.

Will-o'-Wisps in Oblivion. They are immune to normal weapons (meaning you need magic/daedric/silver to do ANYTHING), they phase in and out (giving them a free pass to get in close), their default attack does absurd damage through the heaviest armor (honestly armor doesn't seem to help at all in this case. I've never bothered checking if their attack gets to ignore it altogether), and they have staggering amounts of health. At a point in the game when a player can slay a dozen trolls at once and vanquish an endless line of daedric champions, a melee player is forced to change what works in ever other enemy in the game and simply dance about swinging wildly hoping to escape without having their willpower drained to nothing.

On the contrary, Grace and Glory and Gracious and Glorious are some of my favourite enemies to fight in that game. Then again one of my favourite games is DMC3 on Dante Must Die mode so maybe I'm just a gaming masocist like that.

I'll say this once.

SNK Boss Syndrome.

If I EVER have to deal with that kind of enemy in regards to fighting games, I get PISSED.

Also anything to do with lava, (be it monsters in a lava area or monsters that are lava in general)
I also hate monsters you have to be INSIDE to fight..
Ooh, so close to being the first to point this out.

But yes.

I hate overpowered fighting game bosses. I hate them all and the developers who think that they're a good idea. Even my level of squee for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is noticeably afflicted with worry.

I'm going to fucking hate Galactus, aren't I?

Swarms of tiny enemies. It doesn't take any skill to kill such enemies, you just point and spray till everything stops moving in your general direction.
But they're annoying! And I guess that's their enemy-class. Annoyers.

Nah I wouldn't say so. I mean I can take them on hard mode kind of without problems., but I can barely manage to survive against on infinite climax mode.

There are a few enemies I absolutely despise fighting in Final Fantasy 9.

First there are the mandragoras, they have this annoying little attack called "chestnut" which either does 0 damage, or instantly kills you. They are especially annoying in groups of three.

Than there are the red dragons. DEAR GOD. The red dragons. Their twister attack causes SO much damage. They're pretty much the reason why MT. Gulug is my least favorite area in the game.
Don't forget the Yans. Cheating little fuckers

Any enemy in Mass Effect 2.

I dread every fight because of the fucking boring-ass combat system that consists of hiding behind cover and shooting people in the head/casting powers. Its boring, and its why I'm not ever going to beat ME2 on insanity. Not because its hard, but because the combat is boring as shit.

I can predict every battle too, since the chest-high walls strewn everywhere completely give away any battle. And basically allow you to predict how it'll go.

So yeah, any enemy in ME2 I guess. Except maybe husks. At least with those you have to move around.
