The Zerg and the Tyranids, both are crazy awesome, super badass, and are capable of devouring the entire universe. Not to mention both are some of the most disgusting fictional races I have ever seen. Just playing as the Zerg in Starcraft 2 sometimes makes me feel queasy. I mean they infest things......like people....into crazy freaky insect tentacle people that hate sunlight.

You know what? Orcs, they will always fuck you up, and over. Like sentient shoes laces with a grudge.

Mass Effect: Husks. i hate hate HATE them. just when i think my shogun has it... it takes a hard left and ruins my shot. and then they explode. thorian creepers too cause they dodge and then they puke on you... gross.

Oblivion: zombies. they are just fricken CREEPY.
i agree with the mass effect one, but ZOMBIES! you can kill them before you complete the tutorial!, deadroth, in fact all deadra except scamps on the other hand...

i just run through the plane of oblivion every time i have to.
i didnt say they were difficult, hell everything in oblivion is a little too easy. the point was that they CREEP ME THE HELL OUT. it has no head. why is it still trying to kill me? why does it take more than a shove to kill a headless armless corpse? of all zombies, of all undead, i hate the oblivion zombies most.
sorry i misunderstood, they are pretty scary, most seem to have their groins ripped off.

The thread title implies that the enemy would have to be from multiple games.

So....
I guess I'll go contemporary and say Big Daddy. I think we can all agree that besides them all the enemies in Bioshock are pushovers.

I'll have to go for the obvious ones I've always loved and hated at the same time.

Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2.

What greater icon of the franchise than the red-hooded executioner of Silent Hill's underground prison? He's wonderfully bad-ass to look at, can never be killed unless he kills himself and wears the symbolic garb of Vatiel. The symbolism of the original PH in SH2 was the best; embodiment of rage, murder and blood-lust and of violent sexual enforcement. It's a shame how much of a media whore he has become, but I still think he's awesome.

The Air Screamers(the flying monsters) from the original Silent Hill.

Cheap as hell because the combat system in the original was pretty horrible, but that was kind of the point, you weren't some bad-ass trained to overcome these sorts of situations like in Resident Evil, you were a writer looking for his (adopted) daughter. However that doesn't change the fact that these monsters were cheap as hell, you could hear them coming and you know they'd get you soon, so you're on the edge of your seat hoping to make it to a door before those damn things swoop down and take a pretty small chunk of health off your bar. Sure, they weren't all-too threatening, but they were annoying as hell and most of the time you couldn't do anything about them because you had to save your ammunition for more important enemies.

Dracula from Castlevania.

I didn't have a clue how to beat him the first time because I had struggled so damn much to get there and wasn't fully concentrating, but I got there eventually and was actually sad to see it end. Well, enough talk, HAVE AT YOU!

There's a few more to add to the list but I'd just be boring you.

All enemies in Psychonauts.

I'm ok with the small censors, they stay off my back. The ones that shoot projectiles can go jump in a hole and die. They jump around like crazy and always pick the most awkward locations to be.

Exploding censors are annoying little buggers. They always sneak up on you or gang up on you then self-destruct. They always fool you into attacking out of instinct or they mix into a crowd of other enemies so you blow them up accidentally.

Giant Censors are almost impossible to kill with any strategy. The best way is to stand on a ledge or be on the other side of a fence. If neither are present, you're screwed. The best method of killing them is to set them on fire, but they run in circles, catching everything they touch on fire, including you. Any other method will get you pummeled.

The snail cannons are annoying because they are very specific on how they can die. You have to throw them in water or set them on fire when they're inside their shell so they explode. Their projectiles are the worst part about them.

Then there's the bears and cougars. I HATE them. My only wish is that whoever programmed those two enemies burns in hell forever.

Alpha Sections form Beyond Good and Evil. Gotta hit them in the gas tanks before they notice or it is all over! Even worst is when they are back-upped by those darn turrets!

Demon's Souls anyone?

The fucking wardens in Latria. Not particularly hard to defeat, but if they get you, you're toast.

Radions in Singularity. They hit like Optimus Prime in truck mode going off a ramp, using nitro during, and crashing through your front door as you open it to get pizza from the pizza guy/girl.

Hunters from Halo
Any kind of Radscorpian from Fallout 3 and Deathclaws, somehow they always sneak up on me and scare the shit out of me when I turn around to see whats attacking me.
Any kind of heavy or melee unit from either Mass Effect that come up to where my cover is and forces me to go find someplace else.
hunters arent that bad, just hit them in the back and stick grenades on them, drones, i HATE drones.
and not so much anymore but the first time i played Halo 3 i was trying to avoid brute's, Halo 2 brutes where EVIL!

I've got 3:
1:pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2. However, you usually can't kill him anyway, but whenever the camera angle shifts and he's right there, I always jump out of my seat and start running.

2:Cyberdemon from Doom II. In Doom you have to kill him and you're in a big arena, but he was still a good challenge. Whenever Iencounter him in Doom II, my initial reaction is "RUN THE OTHER WAY!"

3:Hunter from Dead Space. His limbs regenerate and he can kill you in a few strikes with a very violent manner if you're low on health. You have to slow him down and run if you want to live. Otherwise, he'll impale you with one arm, brutally slice both your legs and one arm off in one sweep, stare at Isaac for a few menacing seconds, then tear his head off and look menacingly at the camera.

The Avatar of Khaine and the Warboss from Dawn of War 2. Each of them is maybe 4X more durable than the actual final boss, are surrounded by hordes of underlings, have one-and-two shot AOE attacks, and posess a high resistance to all types of damage. Suffice to say that killing either one of them will give you an achievement worth 30G on the spot.

Oh, and the hunter from Dead Space. I don't need to elaborate.

Poison headcrab zombies in HL2, and the poison headcrabs themselves.

This will make you poop your pants:

No it won't. It's a poison headcrab, which can only reduce me to 1HP, so as long as I don't stub my toe on something, I'll be fine.

Anyway, I always take the Cyberdemon seriously. He does, after all, have huge guts.
It's not the damage output that freaks people out, it's the look and sound of them.

Koopas, from Mario, I hated those things as a child, especially the ones that throw hammers. And later on in Paper Mario, Koopas were always the mini boss fights which made it even worse.

I think it's safe to say anything from Resident Evil. Seriously, the first time I saw the dude with the bag on his head and the chainsaw I knew that it just got real.
