No, I don't mean just "they attack me all the time.2 Enemy AI's are supposed to attack you.

But what are some of the total 'dick moves' that certain Enemy AI in certain games pull which really piss you off?

My 2 examples come from Fable 3:

1) Hobbes that randomly decide they're now able to dodge bullets by doing a gay little spin to one side. These things annoy me at the best of times, but when I'm just trying to get somewhere and run across a massive group of them, one or two of them doing ballet around the room to remember my main form of offence all but worthless isn't 'challenging' in gameplay terms, it's just fucking irritating.
2) Mercenaries that randomly stop attacking to pull infinite ammounts of molotov cocktails or whatever the fuck those things are out of their coats. This one isn't so bad, it's just fucking annoying when your trying to fight off a group of close-range mercenaries, since it's hard to see a tiny black spin come spinning towards you while your surrounded by guys dressed in black.

Your companion's AI in Mass Effect bugs the hell out of me. They keep wandering into my line of fire. I know there is no friendly fire but they still stop the bullets hitting my target.

Black Ops Combat Training AI. Anything above regular difficulty, and they gain magical powers. Able to spin 180 on a dime and headshot you with a pistol from across the map, without even aiming down sights, all while running sideways.

Petty much any FPS where the AI gets God like shooting skills.

Any game where the enemy has an attack that used once is fairly cheap, and they use it constantly.

Oh hell yes, that seriously irks me.

In fact, hell, let me just label 'ENEMIES THAT EXPLODE' as being one of the most annoying things in gaming.
Absolute worst being those rats in the Tower level of Psychonauts. On hit takes of three whole sections of health and hits you with a confusion effect making all the controls inverted and the screen blurry, making it impossible to defend yourself.
Worse still, they always travel in packs. So if you don't see them coming and get hit by the first, it's curtains. You will be torn to pieces.

Some fighting-game AI just pisses me off. Specifically the times where the AI is wailing on you with some unknown infinite-combo from the start, not stopping long enough for you to hit the ground. It's particularly annoying when you notice them continue the hit-streak when the game ends.
Seriously, it's like the AI is button-mashing with hotkeyed combos without looking at the screen. I mean, sure any AI can be unbeatable if programmed to be, but it just comes off as ridiculous.
Pretty much the only times I've raged at a game, ever.

In Pokemon whne I switch pokemon and they use a super effective attack on the new pokemon.

But that attack wouldn't be very effective against mine. For example: I switch a my Makuhita for a Shedinja, and the opposing Wailmer uses rollout. Rollout is weak to Makuhita, but kills Shedinja.

Today, while assaulting an enemy camp alone, enemy rifleman saw me from 200 metres behind a rock... And then he killed me with one bullet.

Does that count?

I'm going to go with "Can see you from 100 miles away through bushes." And fighting game AI's that use the same combo as many times as it can, I mean, it's not so hard to figure out what they're doing and block it, but it's still annoying as all hell.

100% head shot efficiency at all ranges. That makes me angry. I also hate it when enemies start moving in hordes. I can hold a staircase for awhile if there are 1-3 grunts rushing me at a time. I can't take 15 enemies at once.[footnote]Imagining the worst case scenario (which has happened to me) of no grenades, low ammo and horde in tight quarters.[/footnote]

Anyway, goodnight internet.

While the thread specifies enemy AI, I cannot specify how much I agree.

Also, enemies who can hit you precisely with a headshot at a thousand feet while you're zig-zagging using a pistol. Basically, anything where the enemy AI is capable of flawless action 100% or nearly 100% of the time.

General Retardation.
The idiocy of the AI is what puts me off playing quite a few games. I realise this isn't annoying cos its cheap or a dick move but it is the thing that annoys me most about enemy AI in games.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who found that annoying. It would be understandable if they were agile elf-like creatures but they're short, fat bastards

Another one(also from Fable)is how whenever you're escorting someone enemies will completely ignore you and all attack the person you're escorting

Any game where an npc can kill you instantly. It dosnt give the player time to learn from their mistakes. Examples would be the Gauss gun grunts in Crysis warhead who hide in dark caves and instakill you. Or the big parasite bugs in Resident Evil 5 who shank you up.

When the AI pull resources and soldiers out of its ass just when your about to beat them. Or when you finally have repelled their attacks and they just keep sending in constant waves. Pisses me right off(been playing a lot of RTS lately).

I wish game developers would instead invest their time into making smarter AI instead of cheaper enemies. When I turn up the difficulty in a game I would rather have a smarter opponent instead of one who just happens to take longer to take down or pulls bullshit moves out of their ass.
