I'd have to say in Assassins Creed Brotherhood, if you are spotted for too long but not long enough for you to be detected he's like hmm garsh maybe I should go check that out, when he does that you better have a fucking hiding spot nearby or you're going to be detected... -.-

As much as I love Valkyria Chronicles, The computer is a cheating bastard [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheComputerIsACheatingBastard]. I mean, the enemy aces can dodge (sniper)bullets to the back of the head, from the other side of the map! Even though he didn't know of said sniper as it was the first move by me on the first turn!

If you want A ranks on all missions, you have to rely on save scumming... [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SaveScumming] Still, it's great fun when you just play through it for the fun of it! :p

Mines would be the survivors in L4D... and no, I don't mean when you are playing as the infected. They steal all my medkits, they use them at the worst times and when they use them at the best times, its always when I barely scraped my knee. Also they really like standing in my gunfire, then cursing at me because I shot them. If that isn't an enemy, I don't know what is...
Oh, and they like pissing the Witch off...
You know its true...

I hate it when AI teammates bum rush enemies in Mass Effect 2 and Army of Two (getting them selves knocked out in the process) and when Sheva get the crap beat out of her in RE5, and tells me to be careful.

Yes, they really do. You hear a Witch crying, Bill says "shh, witch." then he proceeds to pelt at full-speed, with his flashlight on, in the witch's direction.

then he bastard has the balls to request you help him up when the Witch knocks his ass down. i wish you had the option of leaving the asshole there to pick himself up and rejoin you when he's thought about what he did.

Black Ops Combat Training AI. Anything above regular difficulty, and they gain magical powers. Able to spin 180 on a dime and headshot you with a pistol from across the map, without even aiming down sights, all while running sideways.

Petty much any FPS where the AI gets God like shooting skills.
180...think thats bad?
a guy did a 720 and headshotted me and carried on spinning round...slowly

I hate when the AI will ignore all danger to itself in an effort to specifically kill me.

I've seen the AI ignore being shot at to shoot at me while I'm busy scratching myself behind a reinforced concrete wall.

They'll invade my country while another invades their own.

They'll be hopelessly outmatched and continue to fling themselves at me for no reason even though they were still trash mobs at level 1 and I'm sitting here at level 100 with only a damage cap keeping me from breaking 9999 damage a sneeze.

Nothing breaks immersion like that sort of determination.

Suicide grunts that dry hump my leg with plasma grenades on Reach o_O
That gets annoying the 34235235235328th time you die -.-'
Just be prepared. A single shot to the head from a non-automatic weapon drops them, and blows up any nearby enemies. Armor lock also works.

Far Cry 2. Those guys can spot a player character at 400 hundred paces, even when concealed by a vehicle, a bush or a wall.

No, I don't mean just "they attack me all the time.2 Enemy AI's are supposed to attack you.

But what are some of the total 'dick moves' that certain Enemy AI in certain games pull which really piss you off?

My 2 examples come from Fable 3:

1) Hobbes that randomly decide they're now able to dodge bullets by doing a gay little spin to one side. These things annoy me at the best of times, but when I'm just trying to get somewhere and run across a massive group of them, one or two of them doing ballet around the room to remember my main form of offence all but worthless isn't 'challenging' in gameplay terms, it's just fucking irritating.
2) Mercenaries that randomly stop attacking to pull infinite ammounts of molotov cocktails or whatever the fuck those things are out of their coats. This one isn't so bad, it's just fucking annoying when your trying to fight off a group of close-range mercenaries, since it's hard to see a tiny black spin come spinning towards you while your surrounded by guys dressed in black.
I agree, the ones with the Molotov cocktails are annoying, you constantly have too dodge and shoot them or shoot them from so far away they just ignore you when you shoot at them...
For everything else, including those hobbes and close range mercenaries, flaming vortexes just massacre them. (Flaming vortex is just press B to win...)

Ai that fall off ledges, walk into enemy fire, or step on some sort of insta-kill-mega-death-bomb whenever they try to help me with something simple like pick me up or hand me some ammo. Its not even that AI I am mad at, its the other two or three that follow his/her lead much like lemmings would do. AI does not equal Artifical Intellegents, AI equals Computerized Lemmings with weapons.

The AI's movements in Global Agenda, if they don't know where you are/you're too far away.
Basically, if they don't know where to run to, they occasionally enter a random movement pattern phase, where they stop/start left/right back/forwards for a while. This can make me look like a crappy sniper on occasion - I don't mind people, at least they move for a reason!

Any AI that cheats.

Those damn 'floor masters' in Zelda: The Windwaker, they were such a pain, untill I worked out that overcautiousness was key.

When mobs in RPGs decide they won't attack you any more, and regain full health while running back to their starting position.

When the tower in League of Legends/DotA (mainly DotA) decide not to attack the enemy hero, and focus the minions instead, and conversely, when they focus you when they should be focusing minions.

SO many more, but hey, listing them all would be effort.

Halo Reach's AI when behind the wheel make me want to punch holes in the wall.

Good lord the AI in Halo 2 were better than this and that was several years ago. They're driving is soo bad that at times they drive in circles for several minutes brain dead and then drive off a cliff.

I just recently played through Batman again for the 100% achievement, and I have to say the snipers. Playing the game, you can clearly see all they have is laser sights, yet, they can see you from across the map behind a rock. And then you go to run away, and have to perfectly line up the grapple on specific locations for it to work. It is a fantastic game, but a couple of spots with snipers piss me off every time.

Other than that, I agree with the other points. Devs should work on making AI more intelligent. I will sacrifice graphics for some AI intelligence. I would go back to 8 bit if both enemy and friendly AI would get better.

And, since so many people talk about snipers, let's have more realistic physics for those of us who like to snipe. A professional marksman does not let his scope drift. And putting the dot on a running opponent's head will guarantee your bullet hits about 8 feet behind him. I enjoy sniping, but it is far too difficult in games. It's easier for me to tag a deer at 300 yards than shoot an enemy center mass standing still at less than 100 yards.

It doesn't piss me off, but some of the guards in Assassin's Creed II are a bit suicidal. Did a mission where I had to assassinate a person on a boat without getting detected. Did a misclick and walked up on the boat which led to getting all the guards attention. Quickly dropped down before the guards became hostile... and when they went to the ledge to investigate they kept pushing each other down into the water.
Four guards died, the fifth I assassinated and the boat was pretty much cleared.

Was pretty hilarious tbh.
